This is a picture of my great-great grandpa and his horses that he broke and worked and bought for $300. He is on the square of downtown Harlan. "Horsebuyer Emory" paid him $600 for them and they were shipped to New York to be used on Dray wagons in 1913. In this time period horses were a very important work commodity.
