South Korea is gearing up this new year with a plan to assassinate Kim Jong Un if they feel threatened, as they have said, "come at us, and we'll cut off the head of the snake." A special task forced "decapitation unit" has been set up to attack at any time. South Korea has stated this will not happen unless the event of a war and technically North and South Korea are still at war since there has not been a treaty signed between the 2 countries. I think South Korea would be opening up a can of worms if they were to assassinate Kim Jong Un because once they kill him, that will make the people and government mad, so a war would break out and I don't believe that South Korea could hold it's own against North Korea. If this war did beak out, I would have to say that we would have to be allies with South Korea because North Korea has threatened the United States of America before, and its their turn to see what we can do to them.
I don't think South Korea is taking the right actions towards North Korea because killing Kim Jong Un will most likely start another war considering they are at odds with each other. I think if a war breaks out between both countries that the USA should not get involved unless they threaten the US. This war is between those two countries and the US should not try to get into a battle that we might get dragged into and end up not helping in the end.
I would have to disagree with you about starting a world war because most countries do not care about Kim Jung Un and if south korea assasinated him i feel many countries would feel safer.
Kim Jong Un has been known to be very threatening so I think South Korea is making a great decision with their "decapitation unit". If war were to break out between North Korea and South Korea I think the US should just stand down because It is better to just stay out of it. If we get dragged into it we should take South Korea's side because they seem a lot nicer.
I think what South Korea is doing is a bit unnecessary publicity to the case. I'm sure there are other countries with the same kind of task forces but it's not needed to "advertise" them like that. I think if the two countries can handle the war so it doesn't affect anyone else, it's not necessary for U.S. involvement.
I think its good that they told the public because it will scare the North and maybe stop them from doing any harm. Also the USA has troops on the border so the usa needs to get involved to protect these soilders.
I feel that they are saying this more as a deterrent to threaten north Korea so that they have more to think if they want to continue their war. i do though think that south Korea is not bluffing and will do it if they need to. I do not think that the us should get involved, one because we have enough problems as it is and unless south Korea is one of our allies we should keep out of it. it would be like a teacher or parent breaking up a fight. we might end up making more enemy than allies.
I believe they are, this leader poses a threat to really any country. If this man gets out of hand with something, North Korea should be able to defend their country.
