Do you think students should have to learn a second language in school to graduate? I think students should have to because it helps them in their future with the fact that it helps you make better sentences. It will also look great on your way to going to college since they look for people that know how to talk multiple languages most of the time. Learning a different language helps me a lot because I understand how to put sentences together that I didn't know how to do before and it is fun at the same time.
There is lots of pros for taking a different language when it comes to learning different things. It is shown that some colleges actually require that you take 2 years of a different language in order to get considered of applying there. So maybe learning a different language isn't bad because it does help you in your future and you could even get a scholarship from a school. America also does not have a official language so there are lots of people in the U.S. that talk in language you might not know. But if you learn their language then you start having conversations with them and participate with them.
When you decide what you wanna be when you grow up you have to realize that you will be talking with people that are from around the world and might not know english so it's helpful when it comes to your career as well. Yes, english may be the most common language that people speak but some people don't know it as well if you are not born with it. English is some of the most difficult languages there is in this world. We do things a lot different than people that talk different languages. But overall, I do think students should have to take at least 2 years of a different language.

I think that is should not be required for kids to learn a second launguage but it should be suggested. Some kids are gonna have jobs where they do not need to know any of launguage but most jobs and colleges you will. I think 2 years of a different launguage is enough for kids.
I do think that students should learn a second language. I don't think it should be required, but I do think it should be heavily requested. Learning a second language is good for when you are traveling. If I was required I would learn German, I am already in Spanish so I would like to know another language.
I think that it shouldn't be required to speak another language in order to graduate. Although biliteracy is a great advantage in general, I think it should be the choice of the student to take a foreign language class. For 1, not all students want to go to college. Secondly, requiring a foreign language class would also force poorer schools to have to step up and find another teacher to pay for during a time period when schools are understaffed.
I think learning a second language would only be useful if you're going into an area with second languages involved if you aren't I don't see a reason to know more than you what language they were born with.
I think it is good to know a few language only if you wanna learn them if not you should nkt have to. I think it would be nice tho to unstand what they were saying. But i would not take a class for it.
I think learning a second language would be beneficial in the long run because some colleges require you to take two years of a second language. I think two years of a second language is enough because you get the basic knowlegde that you need to have a converstion with a native speaker.

Although it would be extremely beneficial to become fluent in a second language, I do not think it should be required to learn one. One reason for this is because many people who take spanish for four years in highschool would struggle to communicate fluently with a native spanish speaker.
I agree that people that would learn the language would still have troubles with speaking with a native spanish speaker but it is still nice to learn it.
