𝒮𝒽ℴ𝓊𝓀𝒹 𝒞𝓊𝓇𝒾𝓈𝓋ℯ ℬℯ 𝒯𝒶𝓊𝑔𝒽𝓉 ℐ𝓃 𝒮𝒸𝒽ℴℴ𝓁 ？

Cursive is a type of handwriting that is usually taught to us when we are in elementary school. It includes basically different fonts of the ABC’s. Cursive was first used in ancient rome, medieval, and the resistance times and so on till today. It has been around for a long time, but what is it used for? Cursive is used for efficient and fast hand written notes, poems, or letters. Yes we use it for our signature sometimes, but is it really necessary to teach in school?

 

𝒞𝓊𝓇𝓈𝒾𝓋ℯ 𝒾𝓈 𝒾𝓂𝓅ℴ𝓇𝓉𝒶𝓃𝓉 𝒻ℴ𝓇 𝒶 𝓁ℴ𝓉 ℴ𝒻 𝓇ℯ𝒶𝓈ℴ𝓃𝓈． 

Like can you even read that sentence without having to look twice? It was used a lot by the past generations and has almost disappeared in ours. Our grandparents and parents both write in cursive pretty often. And if it is a valuable message you are gonna want to be able to read it. And some people would like to be able to write their signature in cursive still just incase!

 

On the other hand, most people don’t feel a need to know cursive since it is never used anymore. Most signatures now are either printed, scribbles, or online. We use technology more and more everyday. Soon people will forgot about this ancient handwriting and move on with technology. We can let fonts do the work instead of learning a wholw new system of the ABCs.

 

I feel like cursive is important in personal ways, but I don’t think it should be taught in schools as a whole subject. If someone wants to learn cursive maybe they should look online or take a class on it. But we shouldn’t teach cursive in class time when we could be teaching them more important things.

I think that it would be benefical to have an extra curricular class dedicaded to cursive. Its a choice people can take, it will do no harm to those who decide not to take it. It would be good for some students in my opinion.

I don't think cursive needs to be taught in school. It is becoming outdated and irrelevent. It's close enought to normal english that it's still mostly legible, however, it is pointless to waste time in school when children could be learning something more relevent. I personally and read and paritally write in curvise, and yet I've never once used it outside of Mrs. Blair's spelling tests.

I agree with the fact that it doesn't need to be taught simply because it is just outdated and not really important. I also think that insteas of going through school and wasting time on learning cursive when you could be learning more important things than an outdated writing font.

Should curisve be taught in school? why or why not ? I think they should teach how to read it and writye it but it shouldn't be a cor class where you read it every day, just for a few days to get the basics of it. can you read cursive ? Yes. can you write curisve ? Yes. do you find cursive benefical ? No.

In my opinion I belive that cursive should not be taught in schools unless you are willing to take it as an extra class because most kids dont know how to read or write in cursive and most papers and not written in cursive they are written in print because its earier to read.

I agree that it should not be taught in school and that students that want to learn cursive can take an extra class if they desire to. I cannot write in cursive either i can sometimes read if it is printed out, but peoples handwriting is sometimes difficult.

I think that maybe cursive should not be taught in school because it is not that important. It is rarely used so I don't think that it's worth the time of learning it. Instead I think it would be nice if schools gave students the choice of taking a course to learn how to read and write cursive.

Yes I think cursvie should be taught in schools because its an important skill to learn and I had to learn in in 3rd grade so why not. Yes I can read cursive and yes I can write cursive.

I agree I think that it is amazing that you can read and write in curisve. I personally cannot write in cursive but can sometimes read it. I agree it is important to understand cursive for personal reasons.

I don't think that cursive should be taught unless people sign up for the class,  can you read cursive ? Yes, I can read cursive but it isn't usefull to me and haven't ever been. Can you write curisve ? Yes I can, but again it has never been usefull to me so I think that it is useless.
