Cursive is a type of handwriting that is usually taught to us when we are in elementary school. It includes basically different fonts of the ABCโs. Cursive was first used in ancient rome, medieval, and the resistance times and so on till today. It has been around for a long time, but what is it used for? Cursive is used for efficient and fast hand written notes, poems, or letters. Yes we use it for our signature sometimes, but is it really necessary to teach in school?

Like can you even read that sentence without having to look twice? It was used a lot by the past generations and has almost disappeared in ours. Our grandparents and parents both write in cursive pretty often. And if it is a valuable message you are gonna want to be able to read it. And some people would like to be able to write their signature in cursive still just incase!

On the other hand, most people donโt feel a need to know cursive since it is never used anymore. Most signatures now are either printed, scribbles, or online. We use technology more and more everyday. Soon people will forgot about this ancient handwriting and move on with technology. We can let fonts do the work instead of learning a wholw new system of the ABCs.

I feel like cursive is important in personal ways, but I donโt think it should be taught in schools as a whole subject. If someone wants to learn cursive maybe they should look online or take a class on it. But we shouldnโt teach cursive in class time when we could be teaching them more important things.

I agree with you curisve is beneicial to the brain in many ways including, finding new ways to write, expands you mind, helps you be creative and many more. But I disagree that it should be taught in school. I think students can learn it on their own time.
I think that It shouldnt be tought in school alought many old people us cursive and it could be at some points hard to read which would be good to take a class of it but i think it would be a waste of time because I dont think much people would sign up for it. I personally can read some cursive, and I can write in cursive just not very goodly. I think that curisve can be very benefical at points.

Cursive should be taught in school to strength a student's mind especially when they are younger. I can read cursive since I learned it when I was younger but I can't write much more than my name in cursive because I don't use it that much. I see at least being able to read cursive and maybe being able to sign your name in cursive benefical as learning something is always good for you and cursive is still used even if it isn't used that much.

I think that people who write in cursive are people that are really nice in person and mabye even likes to write for a hobby. Me personally can't read or write in cursive, I think that people couldย definitely learn how to write and read it.
