Is the Corona Flu Coming Back?

As you know covid-19 was a worldwide disease that affected millions of people in different ways. According to the New York Times, hospitalizations increased 24 percent on August 12. All year covid spikes have been on and off, although we are in the best place we've been since the pandemic began back in 2019. There are still lots of signs that covid could come back. But we are coming up with more and more solutions to prevent the spread of covid not only in our local cities, but all around the world.

There has been talk of covid part II as we get the northern hemisphere moves towards winter. But Epidemiologists have quickly come up with a vaccine before it ever evolves. But apparently it is spawning different versions of itself, the latest sub-variants being called EG.5, nicknamed "Eris" after the Greek goddess of strife and discord. This one is supposed to be more infectious, and has accounted for over a quarter of cases. but there has been a stop to reporting cases and deaths.

Some of the more recent protocols if you test positive for covid is you have to stay isolated for at least five days, do not travel, don't share personal items, open windows gets some air flow. During covid it changed many people I think in a way it was an awakening for the world, it was mother nature telling us that we need to be thankful for what we have. We all remember covid and how it affected us, so imagine if we had to do that again.

I personally think covid is coming back, or just a new version because more and more people are getting sick everyday in our school.

Do you think the vaccine works?

Do you think covid is coming back?

What was the worst thing that you remember about quarantine?

  • I think COVID is returning mainly because everyone is back to school around more people than usual throughout the week, but it is also allergy season. I don't think that the vaccine entirely prevents you from getting COVID-19. The worst thing I remember about quarantine was having to try and keep up with school online.

    • I agree with you about since everyone is back to school, and how that could spread the diesease. Also online school kinda sucked for me too.

  • I think covid is coming back a little bit more as we get closer to winter. The vaccine doesn't fully stop covid like many people think. I think the worst part about quarentine was having to stay in my house with nothing to do.

    • I agree staying home did suck I didn't know what to do with my life. Also i agree that the vaccines dosn't fully stop covid.

  • I believe that the vaccine just lessens the serverity of covid and doesn't stop people from getting covid like some people think. I think covid is coming back because many people are getting it now after it slowed down for a while. The worst part about quarentine was doing the zoom.

    • I agree that vaccines just lessens the serverity of covid, I would go on zoom but i wouldn't do anything because i didn't care.

  • I do not think that COVID is coming back, and if it is, the severity will not be close to the previous variant. I think that it could be slightly more common as we move towards winter, but it will not affect many of the things it previously has. For example, many people could be gone from school, but school will not be cancelled like it was in the spring of 2020.

    • I agree that school would not be canceled, but I think if covid came back and more and more people started to get it and people had to leave school i think zoom would be part of our school more again.

  • I think that COVID will make a comeback as all diseases do but we still do not have a 100% cure for it and it still can be a deadly virus. However, I have seen much less of it recently. The worst thing about quarantine was the time I spent in my house I couldn't do anything or see anyone.

    • I agree with you about  how we don't have a 100% cure for it, also yeah not seeing my friends made me sad too.
