The cowboy have had the biggest change since 2015, when they went 4-12. But after they went 4-12 they gained a lot of progress and when they did they did pretty good. In 1960 the dallas cowboys bacame the NFL's first successful new team since the collapse of the all american football conference 10 years earlier. Clint Murchison Jr. Was the new team majority owner and his first order of business was to hire Tex Schramm as general manager, Tom landry as head coach and Gil brandt as player personnel director.
This trio was destined fro almost unprecedented success in the pro football world but the "glory years" didn't come easily. PLaying in the stored cotton bowl, the 1960 cowboys had to settle for one tie game in 12 games and dallas didn't break until it's sixth season in 1965. But in 1966, The cowboys began the NFL record streak included 18 years in the playoff's and 20 consecutive winning seasons. Then they 13 divisonal championships, They also have had 5 trips to the super bowl snd victories in super bowl VI and XII.
Dallas also won there first two divisonal championships in 1966 and 1967 but lost to the green bay packers in the NFL championship game eash year. Similar playoff losses by the next season followed by a 16-13 last-second loss to the Baltimore in the super bowl V following 1970 season. The cowboys were typified as a " good team that couldn't win big games. They can win big and get far and then lose pretty big. The the cowboys were super bowl bound three more times and they also won a super bowl game against the Miami Dolphins in super bowl VI and winning 24-3. Then that's when they had 3 more super bowl chances. From 1975 to 1978 the lost against the steelers and then beat the denver broncos.
So they have had a really good legacy. but then After the cowboys fired Jason Garrett after last season. then they refired MIke Mccarthy and they haven't been good at all since they got him back. They are 5-8 this year and then last year they were 12-5.

Great topic choice and you know how to win some brownie points! Your summary is pretty good but you do skip out on the best decade for the Cowboys-1990's. This was also posted a day late.
What do you think that will bring the cowboys back up? I belive it would take alot. First they would need a new coach. I do noy feel like there coach is doing the best job secouned they would need to get a new quarterback in the 2025 draft since there quarterback is not doing good as of now
What do you think that will bring the cowboys back up? I think they need a new coach, someone who knows a lot about the game. Do you think firing Mike McCarthy would help out the cowboys? Yes, I think it would solve a big part of their losing streak in the 24' season.
I agree with you on both of these. They would do a lot more better than they are doing this year if they had a new coach and if they hada way better coach.
Do you think firing Mike McCarthy would help out the cowboys. Yes, I think that he has had his time with the team. While they have competed in the playoffs with him, they havent been able to win anything. With them only having 5 wins this far into the season I don't think they could get much worse.
I very much agree with you on this. They had there time with mike and i personal think that it's time to end it with mike. he coached them for a while but it's time to end it.
I think cowboys are cool because they live in the wild west and dress like outlaws and ride around on horses and have duels with each other.
Do you think firing Mike Mcarthy would help the Cowboys? I think it could help them and hurt them. The Cowboys have high chances of getting someone better the Mike Mcarthy and also someone worse than him.
Yes it can hurt them pretty bad and it could be a bad idea to get a brand new coach. But they also need to watch who they get. Cause that coach could make them worse or do something bad to them.
Lets start this off with saying I have zero idea of sports or any of the terminology used here, but from what I've gathered, Mccarthy being fired is a good thing for the Cowboys. However, it also seems like none of the recent coaches have been a good fit for the team either. Perhaps bringing in a whole new coach could be what's best for the team?
