Jan. 27- 31

Monday- Work Day 

Tuesday- Women's rights. Seneca Falls was the birthplace of the women's rights movement. The 14th amendment granted blacks the right to vote. Susan B. Anthony was a large contributor to women's rights. Alice Paul was beaten for protesting. Flapper Girls. They dressed in clothes that showed more. They were disliked. They drank alcohol and smokes. They believed that they could do whatever men did. Petting Parties were make-out parties. They pushed for more comfy clothes. 

Wednesday- Women's daily life. 19th amendment granted women to vote, however, most didn't vote. Women began to get involved in politics. Women working rate went up by 25%. Many women were not educated.

Thursday- Our group presented today. 

Friday- The economy is great, better wages, cameras improved. People liked the movies to get away from stress. Black and white and mostly silent. Silent until 1927 when the talker was created. The Jazz Singer was the first movie with sound.
