Today in CWI, we started off by going over the Europe map. We went over the whole thing for the first time, and it is very confusing. We watched a video on Obama getting the Nobel Peace Prize. It was about why the people gave it to him. They don't understand why he got it, since he hasn't really done anything to change the US in his like eight months in office. I think that he should get it when he actually does the things he says he is going to do. Obama is trying to eliminate nuclear weapons.We finished up our discussions about the Iran thing. Cheyna told us about United Nations. We talked about this yesterday, so it was mainly just a review. Luke finished telling us about Ahmadinejad's statements and beliefs. Luke and I did the same one, and I learned that he is a very strange type of person. Eli told us about the Nuclear power in Iran. It started in the 1950s and the US and western Europe helped them get it started. Becka also had this topic. Iran wants to create a nuclear system so they can save their oil that they want to sell. We talked about countries that have nuclear weapons already and how you aren't supposed to create new ones if you don't have them to begin with. Haley added to what Eli and Becka said. Iran is trying to make new nuclear weapons, but they just say they are trying to save oil.Jessica told us about Iran's role in Iraq. Iran has been giving Iraq weapons to fight the US and has been denying it. Dru told us about the US relations with Iran. She told us about the Hostage Crisis in 1979. They took 70 US citizens for 474 days and held them captive. They were freed when Ronald Reagan got in office. We finished talking about that, and we ran out of time again.
