Assigned Blog #6; Richard Nixon elections

Richard Milhous Nixon was the United States 37th President, 36th Vice President, and was also a United States senator and representative for California. In one of the closet US presidential elections Nixon came out on top defeating Hubert Humphrey and George Wallace. Nixon won by one percent of popular vote. He was the second youngest Vice President to work in the white house. Nixon was also the first Californian to serve.  On top of that, he was the first Vice President to be elected President and the first to resign from presidency, after being impeached. He served as president from 1969 to 1974. In the election of 1972 Nixon was easily reelected along with Agnew over George Mcgovern. Then Nixon was accused of the Watergate scandal.
