The Greatest Show on Turf

"The Greatest Show on Turf" is this year's slogan for Homecoming. The Student Council members came up with it to go along with our theme of the circus. Every year before Homecoming starts the student council has Sunday meetings from 1 to 3 or 4 ish.It takes a lot of hard work to put Homecoming together. Some things we have to do to be ready are:Decide on a themeDecide on a sloganAssign dress-up daysMake postersBuy stage decorationsHire a DJContact chaperonesBuy flowersBuild floatsAssemble the stagePick a parade marshallPick crown bearersBuy a crown and tiaraPut together a candidate powerpointOrganize the VolleramaFind a car for Beat-A-Caretc...These are just some of the thins we do at Sunday meetings.Although it may not seem like it, one of the toughest decisions we make is the theme. There are always a lot of disagreements and we have to make sure we're represtenting the student body on every choice we make.**A new move this year for our Homecoming days are Stoplight Days. They will be September 16 and 17. On these days, wear either a red, yellow, or green tshirt. A red tshirt will mean you already have a date to Homecoming or you can't make it(Which we hope doesn't happen!) A yellow shirt means you aren't sure about your date or you're not sure you can go. A green shirt means you're free for Homecoming so "go ahead and ask me!"The Student Council hopes you will enjoy Homecoming this year as we have put alot of hard work into it. There's only a few weeks left so be prepared!Above you can see pictures of us making spirit day posters and planning our floats.By Sara=]
