Today Mr. Bruns got back. We continued doing the presentations. Austin finished his. He did his on chapter 5 section 2. It was about First he talked about eh hardships in the west. They faught blizzards and droughts and locus plagues. Trrees were also scarce so many of the people built their homes out of this land. There were two main types of home sod homes and dugouts. Next he talkied about how everyone in the families had to help around the farm because they were so far away from eveyone else.The inventions of the plow harrow and reaper really helped with planting time as well as the seed drill and barbed wire. Thewe also made it much faster to harvest grain.Then he talked about the debts that this new machinery put people in. farmers taht couldnt afford it would borrow money from other farmers and if they couldnt pay them back so they went into debt.i talked about the first half of Austins powerpoint on last fridays daily blog.Then Mr. Bruns talked to us about chapter section 1 because dj wasnt going to do it. The reason the industrial evolution was so big because we had a lot of resources. Also because there was a growing urban population that provided cheap labor. This also provided markets for the businesses to sell their goods.
