My name is Jordan Barr. I live in Harlan, Iowa and go to school at HCHS. For U.S. History we got assigned a blog about our family history. I also learned that I am Slovak and German. So here is what I found out.
My parents are Darla and James. Darla’s maiden name was Mergens and she was born on May 25, 1973. James was born on January 14, 1975. My mom’s parents are Diane and Donald Mergens. Diane was a Schustek and was born in Chicago, IL on June 10, 1946. Donald was born on March 20 1943. Donald’s parents were John and Anna Mergens. Anna was a Phillips, and Anna P. was born on May 9, 1908. John was born March 9, 1900.
My mom has two brothers Darold and Drew. Darold and he was born on May 3, 1972 and he has two daughters Beth and Bella. Drew was born on Feb 27, 1980 and has no kids. My mom also has two sisters, Deighe and Dallas. Deighe was born on March 5, 1978 and has a daughter Jenna. Dallas was born Feb 15, 1979 and has two boys Carter and Blake and excepting another baby boy due in December.
This is continued… John’s parents were John and Anna Mergens. Anna was a Carlson and her birth date was not found. John’s birth date was not found. Anna was born a Raykta Aug 23, 1918 in Chicago, Il. Daniel was born Aug 18, 1910 in Chicago, Il. That is the end of my mom’s side of the family.
My dad’s side. James parents are Deb Buck and James Black . Deb was a Kite and born on Jan 20, 1953. James records aren’t known. James parents were Dale and Betty. My dad has two sisters Heather and Angie, Heather is married and has two step kids Nick and Jack and is expecting a baby girl in December. Angie is married and has four kids Little Randy, Landen, Conner and Riley. He also has a brother Dustin and he is not married or has any kids.
