Willow Project in Alaska

In Alaska people are doing a willow project and all the animals that live in the cold are gonna be endangered. The animals are polar bears, seals, otters, and etc. I don't think they should do the willow project.

The willow project is an oil drilling project in Northern Alaska. The willow project is taking 68,000 acres of land. It will produce 180,000 barrels of oil a day. The willow project cost 8 biliion dollars. If the willow project produces oil for thirty years like they want it to, the consumption of the oil will release 277 million tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.

Why would they do this to Alsaska people have been wondering. Why did the president agree to do this project?

How can we stop this?

Is it helpful to the environment?

  • I'm glad you got this done but it was quite late and your summary is brief overall.
