The Titanic was the largest ship to be sailed by the British in 1911-1912. The Titanic was built to be unsinkable. Some people believe that the Titanic hit an iceburg and it killed everyone on board. People also believe that their were survivors, which there were. Some believe that when it sank on April 12, 1912, God took it down because he was mocked. Some even believe that the ship that sunk wasn't even the Titanic but it was Olympic. Olympic was the "sister ship" of the Titanic.
The Titanic was sailing the Northern part of the Atlantic Ocean. The ship later then crashed into an iceburg and the iceburg left a hole in the bottom of the ship and eventually started to sink. After it sunk to an appropriate depth, it split in half. The crash killed 1,517 based on the United States committee. The British counterpart said that it was 1,503. The crew suffered the most casualties. Seven hundred of those deaths were fatalities. There were life boats on the titanic and the crew were only letting women and children on the first and the crew. After that, no one else could get on. A lot of the people didn't die from drowning. They died from hypthermia. The water was only 28 degrees fahrenheit. Out of the 2,240 passenger and crew on board, only 706 people survived. As of today there are no more living survivors.
I believe that the Titanic hit the iceburg, but on purpose. The iceburg was huge. There is no way that nobody couldn't have seen it early enough to warn the crew and to steer away from it. The Titanic is still at the bottom of the Atlantic ocean today. The titanic has been down there for 112 years. One day, I hope we can learn the true story on what really happened with the Titanic.
