The NFL was founded in 1920 in Canton, Ohio. When it was founded it was known as the APFA (American Professional Football Association). The first president was Jim Thorpe who was a really good athlete and was in the league. They switched the name to NFL(National Football League) in 1922.
The league started playing with five teams from Ohio which were the Akron Pros, Canton Bulldogs, Cleveland Tigers, Columbus Panhandlers, and Dayton Triangles, four teams from Illinois were the Chicago Tigers, Decatur Stayleys, Racine Cardinals, and Rock Island Independents, two teams from Indiana are Hammond Pros and Muncie Flyers, two teams from New York Buffalo All-Americans and the Rochester Jeffersons and the one Michigan team the Detroit Herolds. Later on, the AFL was a challenge so they ended up merging with the NFL. Once the merger happened in 1970 there were 26 teams in the NFL. Since the merger happened there have been six teams added to the NFL.
When the NFL was made the equipment was not the greatest but since then there have been major upgrades. Another thing that is different from back then is what they are calling flags for which I guess is opinion based. People thing that the NFL has a fun problem because of all of the taunting flags that are being thrown and that some players will get fined for stuff like that. Even though their have been changes for good and changes that some people don't like the NFL is still a very popular sport in America.

My favorite team is probably the Cincinnati Bengals. I think the equipment has improved a lot since then, but there is probably still some saftey hazards and risks. I think the San Francisco 49ers will win this years Super Bowl because they have had a good season and the highest chances of winning.
I would have to say my favorite NFL team would be the Washington Commanders. Who were the Washington Redskins when I started to like them. The technoligy in the equipment today is way way more advance then anyone problaby thought it ever would be back then. And now it's keeping more and more people safe that play. I'm not sure who is gonna win the supper bowl.
I think that the advancment in football equipment is very good for the safty of the game and with more improvment might take some health risks down even more. I think that the 49er's will win the super bowl this year.
I think the equipment is really good for the saftey of the players but the reason for some leg injuries is because of the turf fields. I think that their is a big chance the 49ers win the super bowl.
My dad really likes the Cheifs. I think he's always been a pretty big fan of them for the coaching to the players. From what I've heard I guess the Ravens have a pretty big chance of winning but overall, there's so much unpredictablity you really never know!
My favorite NFL team is the Cheifs and I'm not a bandwagon I like them when they are bad. The equipment has improved dramatically lots of fewer concussions and fewer injuries. I think the Ravens will win the Super Bowl.
my favorite nfl team has to be the seattle seahawks becuase I was born in the area and good team. i think about the old equipment is that it didnt really cover your head just with leather and other types or gear. the texans have a chance but probably not going to
My favorite team is the Seahawks aswell. I think the equipment is so much better and it makes people feel better while playing the sport knowing that they are not going to hurt your head.
My favorite NFL is the Green Bay Packers. I think the equipment has improved a lot and a lot of the older players got hurt. Now the players fell more comfortable free to go out and each other. I still think the equipment can be improved to stop head injuries. I think the Ravens will win the Super bowl.
