How did math come about? Math has been an essential part of human advancement for thousands of years. It all began with ancient people, like the Egyptians and Babylonians, who used math for necessities such as measuring land and keeping track of time, around 3000 BC. These early mathematical systems set the basis for the future and it only advances from there. As time went on, the Greeks took math even further. Brilliant mathematicians explored geometry and number theory, setting the basic concepts that we still use today. Specifically looking in on the Babylonians, they developed a system based off the number 60. They are the first ones that are known for using numbers to represent an amount.
Moving forward in time, math became more similarly compared and used with science. Mathmeticians such as Newton and others helped us further understand our world today by continuing and advancing in the research of math. They discovered the path to furthering scientific discoveries as well as leading the mathematics of our modern world into a clear path. From there, math continued to evolve and expand, with new concepts and theories being developed. Today, math plays a very important part in certain work fields such as physics, engineering, economics, and computer science. It's a constantly evolving subject that continues to shape our world in ways that would not have been possible without the prior exploration.
Math is probably one of my favorite subjects just because I enjoy the puzzling, multi-step problems that make me feel very accomplished after figuring them out. For me personally, I enjoy having to figure out the formulas and steps needed to solve each problem. However, I know math is not for everyone.

Very understandable! I can understand how some of the concepts can be difficult to understand.
I have mixed feelings for math, I enjoy Algebra 1 and 2 more than Geometry. I like that there are always steps to solve it, that there are never guesses. If I were to choose, history or english is my favotie subject. I will have to use some math and statistics in my future job, as I am going into the scientific field.
I think I have heard that quite often. People either like algebra, or they like geometry. History or english are good choices for your favorite subject! They are very interesting.
I enjoy math if I understand the unit well becuase it has set instead of opinionated answers. I also like science which is why I want a job in the science or healthcare field.
I'm thinking about doing the same. It is definitely very opinionated, but everyone is different. Including their preferences and intrests.
I don't like math that much ,but i'm not to bad at it. It might just be because it is my 2nd period though. I enjoy history more than math. It is just more intertaining to me. I don't know what i want to be but i think some of the stuff we learn is useful.
I do enjoy math because it's one of the subjects that i'm pretty good and quick at it. I think I could be interested in a job that involves math since I'm good at it. Math or history is my favorite subject because I enjoy learning in these classes.
That's really cool! I agree with you, being good and quick in math would definitely be a very good trait for going into the workfield dealing with math.
I kinda enjoy math, but I don't like how it gets super confusing. I am currently taking geometry and I don't like it. I don't have a favorite subject because I think they are stupid. I am not interested in having a job that deals with math.
That is definitely a valid factor of math. Sometimes it does get very confusing. Geometry is definitely way different than algrebra!
