As of right now students are obviously graded by teachers. Grades are beneficial to show what a student has learned and where they are lacking. When a teacher looks at a grade for a class it can tell them multiple things. It could show what the students understood, where certain people excell or not, and give them a general idea of how long to teach a certain subject to get the best results. Some teachers also ask for feedback instead of just looking at grades and test scores. They do this by giving surveys or talking to students by asking what would be better ways to make them understand a topic and if certain ways of teaching are good. There are some teachers who will ask at the end of the year what they can do better to teach the class but not very many.
If students were able to grade their teachers it woud be beneficial for both the student and the teacher. The student would be able to give their honest opinion on where the teacher is lacking and how they can improve. They can give their experiences in the class that are either good or bad. The students would then improve because bad habits or teaching methods will be removed and replaced with beneficial ones. While grading teachers sounds like a great way for teachers and students to be better it comes with some downfalls. Students may take this as an oppurtunity to lie about the teacher because they didn't like them for some reason. It could create a bad feeling for the teacher if they get a bad grade. Overall students could be immature and use the grading system as revenge or disrespect.
Personally I think that giving some sort of feedback throughout the year to teachers would be beneficial. It would make for a better experience in class for me and other students. I think it would help many peoples grades if teachers were able to teach how students learn the best. Teachers can't teach a whole class of students perfectly because everyone learns in defferent ways but feedback could help. I could see people taking this to their advantage and being disrespectful but overall it is a great way to benifit students.

I think that some teachers should possibly be graded from the students because some teachers may not try as hard as some other teachers and also they might try and give kids way harder things than they know how to do and expect them to do it.
No, a teacher has not asked me for feedback. I believe that studens should grade teachers because it can help them reflect on the year and improve for the next year. I think that some people would take advantage, but there are definelty some positives that can come out of it.
My science teacher last year did ask us for feedback after ever semester. He would ask us how we thought he did as a teacher, what we thought he could improve on, as well as if we like the class over all. I think it is a great idea for students to grade or evaluate their teachers. I think that some students would, but students that would abuse it would take advantage of anything.
I had the same experience with my teacher asking and I believe it could be beneficial but I do see people taking advantage of it.
No, a teacher has never asked me for feedback unless its to see if they made a mistake grading. I do not think students should grade teachers and, I just find that dumb as heck. Yes, I think they would take advantage of the teachers if this was rule in life.
No I have never been asked by a teacher for feedback but, I have been given feedback. I think that students should grade teachers as it would let the school know how the teacher is doing. I think that some students wouldn't be trustworthy and would just put horrible grades.
I think that giving teachers feedback would be benificial. It could help teachers learn about there downsides and fix them. However, I don't think grading teachers(like students are graded) would help much because I don't think they would get a lot out of it.
I agree that teachers should not be graded like students but simply given feedback.
I think this could go either good or bad. Students would most likely take advantage of this and grade there teacher bad or give them horrible feedback. But maybe it would help the teacher learn what they need to do better in there teaching.
