Some people say that cell phones are a distraction in class which could be true and that they prevent socialization. But then there are some people that disagree with it because parents want to be able to track their children and/or check in with them just to make sure they’re safe or just how they're doing.
A School in Florida has recently banned cell phones and made it so students can’t have their phones so sometimes students have to go to the office just to ask if they can check their phones. But some parents weren’t happy saying that their kids should be able to contact them during their free periods. But then there were some good reasons for the ban such as kids filming things in the bathrooms that they called, “Toilet TikToks”, and that students are more talkative and making more eye contact.
I think that there are good and bad reasons for the cell phone ban, because like it said before, banning cell phones can probably help improve socialization. But not banning cell phones can be good because if students still have their cell phones, they can contact their parents or cops if there's ever an emergency.

I don't believe that they should ban cell phones at all in the school because if tere was a situation at the school and you needed to call 911 or anything you need your phone to call them. Maybe not having your cellphone during class time but you can have it around somewhere because you need to be paying attention to what they are teaching you.
NO, I do not think schools should ban phones. yes, I feel as if kids should be able to have their phones in class for family emergencies or like plans after school and anything like that.
I don't think schools should ban phones because if there is an emergency, a student should be able to contact someone for help. I also think that if a student needs to talk to a parent during the school day, they should have their phone. I am not on my phone during class unless I need to.
I don't think that schools should ban cell phones, because if there is an emergency or something and a kid needs to call or text a parent about something they wouldn't have that phone to do so and something even worse could happen. Yes I think you should have your phone on you at all times.
I don't think schools should ban having your phone at all. I also think students should be able to have their phones on them in class. If a student can't handle not going on their phone for 43 minutes that is honestly sad and they probably should get their phone taken away.
I think that students should be able to have phones throughout their school day. Phones are a way for students to communicate with their parents if they need anything. I don't think that students should be able to have their phones during class. I think that phones should stay in backpacks. I think that phones can be a distraction but also very helpful.
No phones should not be banned I feel like we should have phones in class because students collaborate with their peers and teachers more efficiently. They can use messaging apps and email to discuss assignments, seek clarification, or work on group projects, fostering communication skills and teamwork.
I don't think that phones should be banned because some people need it if they have like diabeties they need to know how much sugar they have. I think that you should be able to have your phone on you in case of emergencys.
I think there shouldn't be a ban on cell phones because they are beneifical to me for a lot of reasons, such as being able to contact a parent which I have had to do. I think you should be able to have your phone on in class because if you were put in a situation if you needed it.
