A police officer, from new jersey, fired at his own police car and called in saying that he has been shot at. He shot his car windsheild, and he used his own personal gun to shoot the car. He told the police, over radio, that he was being shot at in New Brooklyn Park in Winslow. The police officers searched the whole area and found no suspect. The Police officer, Da'Shaun Carr, was charged with false public alarm and is suspended from work without any pay.
I think it was stupid of the police officer to try to set up a crime scene when he should have known that it would back fire. I also think that a mental illness could have brought this on.

I think this guy should be more than suspended without pay, he should be on desk duty for the rest of his career. Those cop cars all have cameras in the dash board so he should have known that he would have been caught. I dont know what made him do it whether it was a mental illness or just stupidity. Nobody knows but him.
I think that he may because no sane person would shoot at their own car, and then call in and say they are being shot at. If it was up to me I would fire the officer, I wouldn't like that fact he could come back into the force after what he did.
The cop must be completely insane to try to set up something like this. I don't know what he would get out of this by doing it.
I really don't understand any reason for someone to do this because it is pointless. I don't think that a mental illness is involved but I think there is some sort of problem that he either needed attention or was just being dumb.

I don't buy that mental illness crap anymore just because u hav a mental illness doesnt give u the right to go shoot up schools and kill people in this case this guy was being a moron shooting his own windows DUH... well i kno he is stupid but idk if he has a so called "Mental Illness"
