The Israel-Palestine situation has been going on for many years. The situation is that Palestine is fighting to take the territory that Israel has. The Palestinian group called Hamas attacked Israel from Gaza. This situation has had a lot of history and conflicts.
Israel was recognized as a country on May 14, 1948 after Palestine was split up. Palestine was not happy with this and wanted its territory back. Palestine has attacked Israel a lot of times but not to the extent that it has been attacked recently.
Hamas is an Islamic resistance movement that fights to get land that was “taken away” from them. They have made many attacks on Israel since 2006. The most recent attacks they have made have been very violent. They have committed many acts of violence such as killing children, civilians, and the Israeli military. Just in Gaza Hamas acts have killed around 10 thousand people and almost half were children.
Hamas has been considered a terrorist group by the U.S. The U.S. has been backing up Israel for many years. The U.S. in fact was one of the first countries to recognize Israel as an independent country. The U.S. is not directly involved in this conflict but we do help Israel with weapons and money.

I think that the U.S should not get involved just yet. The conflict between Hamas and Israel has been going on for a long time. Also, it is a foreign affair that does not personally affect us as a country. If we get involved in this conflict, we should get involved in every conflict everywhere. But that doesn't make sense. I say as long as it remains a foriegn issue, we should leave it be.
