Lately people have been turning other people in for bullying or telling on them because they dont like what people have to say....but I think that some people should just get over it, maybe they deserve it. There's always two sides to every story and most of the time you only get one side. So maybe for some people bullying is a huge issue, but to me some people should just learn to deal...

I tend to wonder...Why people think its okay for others to be hurt or harassed intentionally. I wonder why we've become so desensitized that we, as a school, can't say "Let's change this. Let's make it so everyone feels appreciated, safe, and cared for when they walk through these doors". No one deserves to be harassed because of what they look like, who they hang out with, or how they choose to live their lives. Zack is right, our bullies are vicious in the sense that they are completely verbal. They pick at the self esteem of people that simply try to come to school and live their lives. They make people feel worthless, and unwanted. They make students, in extreme cases, not want to live anymore, and this I've seen first-hand. I've seen the suffering, and have even felt it myself.
So, how can you possibly say its okay for someone to be forced to feel this way? How can anyone possibly think that's a good thing?
We need to prevent this, or at least try to pick up the pieces.
I honestly don't think bullying is that bad in our school. Of course some people may get picked on, but I would say most of it is just in a friendly way.
people think of bullying as pushing someone against the locker and taking their lunch money i think. bullying can be as simple as calling someone a bad name. could be not even that bad liek a loser or something. some people just take things differently then others. that happens a lot more then people actually see. and yea i can say i have bullied meaning calling someone a name. and im sure a lot of people have done it with out even realising it.
i don't think bullying is a big issue. since we have had all these presentations about bullying the number of bulling has decreased. personally i avoid it by just not talking to the people that i don't like. that pretty much takes care of it. there is a big diff between bullying and just messin around. some people just get too serious and need to lighten up.
I do not think bullying is a big issue in our school. If its just making fun sometimes people take it the wrong way ,but if it gets taken too far then that can be a problem. Sometimes people have a hard home life and getting picked on at school just makes things even worse. You never know, it could trigger a very serious issue. I personally do not have any problems with this. Its just something to think about. Everyone has been talked about before and gossip is always going to be around. Most of the things people say isnt even true. And dont try to fight it, it just cause more drama and nobody needs that. Just ignore it if you know the truth why let what others say bother you?
