The term binge-watching dates back to 2003, but the concept really gained popularity around 2012. What is binge-watching? Binge-watching is watching multiple episodes of the same show in one sitting. In 2015 binge-watch was declared the word of the year by Collins English Dictionary. Collins English dictionary stated that the use of the term increased significantly in the year prior.
Almost 75% of Americans have admitted they’ve binge-watched. The average binge lasted a total of three hours and eight minutes. 87% of Gen Z, 90% of millennials, and 40% of those age groups binge-watch an average of 6 episodes in a sitting. During the coronavirus pandemic, binge-watching increased, because people were forced to stay indoors. People were spending more and more hours binging during the pandemic than at any other time.
Binge-watching can establish common ground between people, it can give people something to relate to. Romantic relationships can also be strengthened by binge-watching TV shows, it serves as quality time together. It helps partners bond, be together, laugh, and have a good time while watching a show they both enjoy. On the other hand, though, binge-watching can lead to mental health issues. The University Of Texas study found that binge-watchers are more likely to feel lonely, depressed, and have less self-control. When viewers watch too much TV, they become rampant. Watching TV can become an addiction, and it can cause viewers to ignore others, and become introverted.
In my opinion, I don’t think it’s wise to binge-watch TV every single day. I think everyone has lazy days, and it’s okay to watch one or two episodes of something you enjoy, but after that, I would take a break from watching anything. Give your eyes a break, and do something productive, something that can benefit you in a positive way.
Do you binge-watch TV? If so, what do you binge-watch?
Do you think binge-watching TV is good for you?
Is binge-watching fun?

I don't binge watch anything. Binge-watching can't be good because it can hurt your eyes and you're wasting time watching TV while you could be with friends or family. Binge-watching is fun but can have many negative things that come with it.
No binge watching is not good for you because your sitting for so long and staring at a TV. I think that binge watching ever once and a while wont hurt but all the time is not good for you.
The only time I binge watch TV is on the weekends. The showes I nomaly watch are Family guy, Firends and the middle. Personly I dont think binge watch TV is good for you if you you constently are watch TV because you could damege your eyes and it could destroy your socal life. To me binge watching isnt really fun it just give me somthing to do when im bord.
I typically don't watch TV but I have binge-watched before. I can see why it would be bad for your mental health because TV is meant to draw emotion from people. When people binge watch they are taken on an emotional rollercoaster that is likely to leave them hanging on a cliffhanger or death of a character when they decide to be done.
I do not try to binge watch I try to spead it out so I don't rush through the series. I don't think it is good for you for the most part, if you are sick and you have to be inside all day then its not bad because their is nothing else to do. Obviously that isn't your best option but its not bad. I think its fun because I have done it before but I try not to.
I have binge-watched Tv in the past but for me personally; I mainly just use the Tv as background noise. I do not believe that binge-watching television is healthy for you because you're sitting in a postion for hours on end without moving at all. I think that binge-watching shows or having a movie marathon with family can be fun because you're all bonding but shouldn't be done daily.
I don't usually binge-watch on my TV because I think it gets boring watching TV for a long time and I can sit still for that long. I think binge-watching is not good for you because it is not healthy to always be sitting down and not getting any physical activity.
I do not binge-watch TV because I really don't ever have time to but I don't think it's necessarily super bad for you. I think that people who can excessively binge-watch will start to see a change in themselves and their bodies because they lack activity.
Bingeing tv is a fun activity fo me when I'm bored and have nothing to do.
Me personally i think that binge watching isnt good for your body or phisical health. But I love binge watching because i can just be lazy and finidh a seris in a couple days. Not good for me but defintley love doing it.
