Holloween Is One Of The Deadliest Nights Of The Year

Did you guys ever think Halloween would ever be one of the deadliest nights of the year? This last Friday on Halloween 2 twins girls age 13 were killed by a driver in Southern California. The police said that the girls had the right away to cross the street and 2 guys ran them over. They left the seen and never came back. They were going 50 mph and the speed limit is 25. The girls were through more than 100 feet away from the car. Somebody followed the guys and they left the car abandoned and they are still trying to find them.

What could we do to prevent this? Why do you guys think the guys ran away from the accident?

  • Block off streets for trick or treating. They knew they were in the wrong and messed up.

  • The men were most likely drunk since it was Halloween and a Friday. Stricter laws on drinking and driving could potentially help.

    • Yes but we don't know we just have to make sure everyone is careful and pays for attention!

  • mbye if there prantes were with them none of this could of happen and i think they were nerves i know i would be

  • I think we need to have more cops around on Halloween. I think we need to be more cautious about this kind of stuff. I think they guys were pry thinking it of a hit and run. I think there is too many video games and news around to give out ideas for people to use in real life.

    • How is a video game at all related to this? Yes that sort of thing might happen in that medium but to make a blanket assumption that is the reason this happened is completely unfounded. Simply because something can be found in a form of media doesn't allow one to instantly blame it when problems occur. For all we know these men were just driving the way they normally do on this particular night.

    • yes I agree!

  • I think on Halloween night kids and their parents need to be more cautious of drivers. I think people out driving should drive slower in order to be more aware of the kids out trick or treating during those few hours. Kids need to stay on the side walks as much as possible. I think they ran away just like mostly any other person would if they did that. They were scared of their punishment for it.

    • Yes but they shouldn't of ran away! and I agree they should be more aware.

  • As much as the death of the twins is a horrible event, I believe that your title is inaccurate. Just two deaths in one day makes it hardly newsworthy, as hundreds if not thousands of people die every second.
