History of the Olympics in Nazi Germany

The Olympics were given to Germany before Hitler came to power in 1936. Years before in the 1920 Olympics, Germany got disinvited to the Olympics, Germany got blamed for starting the war. Some of the French officials banned German athletes from the 1920 and 1924 Olympic games. Jewish and Catholic groups told the committee to boycott the Olympic games but was ignored. Also the Berlin olymipic games allowed to "Amid a Nazi regime" its intent to show Hitler superiority.

After the Olympics Germany had won 101 in total, 38 of them were gold medals and the United States had placed second in the games with 57 total medals.

When the Nazi party won the election, they decided to build a Olympic stadium shortly after. Later in 1994 the German government started the redevelopment of the stadium.

Jesse Owens was a runner for the United States, He was a African American male. He got four gold medals in the German Olympic games. He ran for Michigan state university in the big ten. Hes mostly known for the 36 Olympic games

Questions. Would you attend the Olympic games

Do you think it should've been boycotted or canceled

I would agree If I had a chance i would attend the Olympic games. I think they shouldve boycott the event becuase of the promotion of hitler

I would like to attend the Olympic games at some point in my life. I think it would be an extremley cool experience and would give me life long memories. I think this Olympics probably should have been canceled, but with Germany running it, it wasnt.

I would like to attend the Olympic games because I think it would be a great experience. I think it shouldn't have been boycotted or canceled because it is still the Olympics regardless of who hosts the event. Also, I think that they could have picked a different place before the event beginning but still it doesn't matter who hosts it because it still will be the Olympics.

I would love to attend an Olympic games someday. I think it would be incredible to see the world's best athletes compete on the biggest stage. It would be very exciting and interesting as a fellow athlete. I don't think the games should have been boycotted. Given the circumstances in the world, it was best to keep things as normal as possible.

I Would agree getting out of the great depression and having a chance of normalcy and attending, But i think we shouldve moved it to tokyo

If I had the opportunity to attend the Olympic games, I would. It would be a very cool experience to see all of the different athletes compete at different sporting events that they are good in. These people are some of the best in the world and it would be fun to see.

Going to the Olympics is on my bucketlist of doing or going, it would be fun to see the athetes doing the sprints and other stuff

Yes, I would attend an Olympics games, it would be amazing. Seeing all the athletes from different places do what they love to do in a competition like this, is pretty cool when you think about it. I don't think the Olympics should've been boycotted.

I would like to attend an Olympic games specifically the summer Olympics especially with the new addition of flag football. this sounds like a good expirence to attend to and I would love to see all the athletes from different places and with different sports.

I think attending any Olympic games would be fun but I would prefer going to the summer Olympics. I read that they added flag football which I think was a great addition. But, I also think watching people ski in the winter games is very cool.
