Global Climate Change

Some changes that are happening in our environment, such as droughts, wildfires, and extreme rainfall, are occurring faster than scientists had previously thought. According to the United Nations and the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change), today's humans have never seen the changes in our global climate, and some of these changes are irreversible over the next hundreds to thousands of years.

Scientists are confident that our global temperatures will continue to rise for many decades due to the greenhouse gases produced by human activities. The IPCC's 6th report, states that human emissions of heat-trapping gases have already warmed the climate by nearly 2 degrees Fahrenheit (1.1 degrees Celsius) since 1850-1900. The global average temperature is expected to reach or exceed 1.5 degrees C within the next few decades, and these changes will affect all regions of the Earth.

The severity of the effects caused by climate change will depend on the path of future human activities. The more greenhouse gas emissions we produce, the more the climate will change making more extreme and widespread damaging effects that will occur throughout our planet. However, the future effects of climate change depend on the total amount of carbon emissions. Therefore, if we reduce our emissions, we may be able to avoid some of the worst effects of climate change.

1. How does climate change make plants bloom earlier?

2. How can people help stop climate change?

3. Why haven't scientists been trying to find a solution to climate change?

  • I'm not sure if the climate change helps make the plnats bllom earlier or grow either. I'm not sure what we can do to help stop climate change, because i don't think we can fully stop it. I think that some scientists mught be trying to find a solution to climate change.

  • I honesly don't think that a lot is going to change, unless everyone in the world wants things to change. Many people and scientists are focused on changing climate change, but we need a lot more people to help in order to make a difference.

  • I think that climate change is already to far, so there is no stopping it at this point. But I think that we could try to stop it and it may go down a little bit. I think that the scientists have been trying to find a solution for climate change, but they obviously haven't gotten very far.

  • I don't think it's possible for people to stop climate change but I think we could slow it down. I think scientists are trying to reduce climate change but they just haven't gotten very far yet.

  • I don't think that people can fully stop climate change however I think there are things we could do that could at least slow climate change. I think that some scientist are trying to find solutions but some scientist don't think that climate change is as important as other matters.

  • I think that climate change is a real and harmful thing and it is heating up our planet. Pollution goes up into the atmosphere and gets trapped, and which the heat is caused to stay in the atmosphere. Scientists are trying to find a solution, but it takes a long time to fix these kind of things.

  • I am not sure if that the climate changes are affecting the bplants growth and the time that thye bloom. I am not sure on what we can do to help climate change or help stop it. I am not sure why they havent tried to stop it but i dont think that climate change has been their first priortiy.

  • I am not sure that climate change can affect how fast plants bloom, but I think there are other ways to help it along. I don't know how we can stop climate change, or if we even can because we are always going to be changing the climate, it's inevitable.

  • Climate change makes the plants bloom earlier because it isn't as cold as long. When the weather is warmer, plants realize that it is not cold so they begin to bloom. People can help stop climate change by using less vehicles, they could carpool, leaving a lower carbon footprint on the world. People could also recycle and not throw all of their trash into the oceans.

  • I think there are some things that make plants bloom earlier but I'm not sure if climate change is one of them. People have been observing climate change for quite a long time now and I don't think that this is one of the ways too. Theres still a lot of things we don't know about climate change.
