A 3 year old girl died Saturday after a man started police on a chase and shooting. Police followed the man early in the afternoon when he drove his car away from the scene of a shooting. One of the wheels fell off the car and he stopped and started firing at the police. The suspect kept driving but stopped again and ed shooting at the police a second time. The man was killed the second time he stopped. Inside the vehicle, police found the wounded 3 year old, who later died. Police said they don't know who fired the bullets that killed the man or the girl. Police believe the man was the girl's father. Two wounded people were found at the scene of the first shooting the 3-year-old's grandfather and great-grandmother. They were in critical condition at hospital.
Why do you think a man with a child would shoot someone and lead the police on a car chase?

If he was the girls father he could have been taking her away from her mother or kidnapped her. He could have had depression and wasn't thinking right.
He was probably kidnapping her as skylar said, but he shouldn't of had a little girl and elderly people in the car. But if it was his daughter, you shouldn't put her in that much danger..
Maybe he was kidnapping her. He was probably on the run for some reason. Could even be taking her away from her mother.
Although I am sorry for the girls death, a tragic event, I do not blame the police officers for what happened to her. They could not have known that she was there and they were reacted to the situation presented to them. I think that the man, if he was the father, may have been trying to get away with the girl. Since he shot the maternal grandparents he may have been trying to stop them for looking for her.
I'm not so much concerned about the car chase, but as to why the man had a 3 year old, and two elderly people with him. Furthermore, did the cops accidentally shoot the other people? or did something else happen? I feel like more information is needed here in order to place assumptions.
Maybe the Man was the father, but he was involved in something illegal. The girl, or daughter, may have just been in the vehicle by coincidence.
I agree that he might have been doing something illegal and just didn't want to get caught. They also dont know who shot the girl or maybe the guy shot the girl before he died.
I think that it's horrible a man would put this little girl into so much danger that eventually led to her death! Whatever he may have done, he should have owned up to it, instead of running from the police and shooting at them and putting that little girl in danger and in that kind of a situation. I don't know what this guy was thinking as he was doing this, but from his choices he not only ruined and ended is own life, but he also did it to an innocent child which is awful.
Maybe he thought he didn't have a choice to go to jail or maybe it was his fault. He could of had other charges and didn't know where the child could go if he went to jail. He could be protecting his daughter.
