Could Your Family Members be Threatened by ISIS?

After hearing today that my cousin, deployed in Kuwait, now has another worry on his mind. His wife being threatened by ISIS. I thought ISIS was making a very brave move, and I think we should for sure watch out for. ISIS officials have been recruiting even more people, adding up each day, and is now telling them to "show up [at their homes] and slaughter them," and them being the family members of US soldiers. There is an advisory out warning military personnel and their families about ISIS and they are cautioning them to protect their homes along with their online profiles. Family members and others are being warned to report any suspicious activity and to be on the look out for it. With ISIS using social media as it's number one recruiting source, they have as many a 3,400 people per month, and it continues to increase. Do you think that the number will continue to increase as fast as it? Do you think that we should do more for family members to protect them from this potential serious threat?

  • Break up you info a bit more instead of having it all in one paragraph, especially your questions. Good job overall!

  • I think the number will continue to rise. I don't how we could protect family members more just be aware of your surrounding and the people around you.

    • I agree I have also thought about how protection of family could be increased or if just monitoring is the best answer.

  • I think that the more they post on social media, they will continue to recruit more members, especially if they already have that many. I'm not sure there is much more we can do to protect the families though!

  • This is very scary, and if people aren't smart about actions they make, they could be in lots of danger. You never know if they could be knocking on your door next, so be aware.

    • I agree it is a very scary thing, and like I said before everyone should be prepared and keep things private, but not live their life in fear.

  • I think it could go one of two ways. With the way were handling it nothing is changing so the numbers could very easily be going up, but if we start doing stuff a little differently maybe the numbers will change. You can't really do anymore to protect people because you can't live in fear. You gotta do what you need to and let the Government handle it change things.

    • I agree with both of you because you definitely can't live in fear and yes terrorism can happen anywhere anytime but with the threat that ISIS put out I think they should be ready to act if multiple cases start to come up.

  • I think the numbers will continue to increase, however I don't think there is anything we can do someone. People get murdered everyday what is the difference? You can't stop terrorism. Just like you can stop some crazy guy on the street from killing someone.
