It was against Britan and the US. US felt like Britan was trying to prevent them from trade.US beleive Britain was telling indians to attack us. Impressment was the biggest reason the war happened. US was the underdogs. US won the war. It gave us worldwide respect since we beat the most powerful country in the world, Great Britan. This is the war that the star spangled banner was wriitten by Francsis Scott Key. Britan burned down Washington DC, so we burned down Quebec.

It was fought between Mexicans and Texans. Mexico open there borders for Texan and became part of mexico. Americans thought that they were better then Mexicans because of skin color. Txans wouldnt leave behind there slaves. Texans killed of a lot of men. Texans captured Mexicos leader and kept him until they were granted independence. Texas won the war.

The cause of this war was boundry disagreement. Mexicans thought the boundry was the nueves river and US thought it was the Rio Grande river. That became a major issue. Polk moved troops to the Rio Grande river. Mexico then retaliates. Polk instigated this war when he made Mexico mad. Polk was after land. US won. We got rio Grande as a border, New Mexico, California, (Southwest Area today).
