Woman Dies Trying to Save a Lost Dog.

33 year old Jacqueline Watts was reported missing when she did not show up at her home on friday night. Her car was found with its hazards on and phone and purse in the car near a river. Police, K-9 officers and detectives were on the case for hours. Finally at 8:30 a.m. Saturday morning her body was found washed up on a sandbar. On Monday Police said that a witness saw a woman (That matched her description) was seen chasing a small white dog near the river. Later authorities came acrossed a social media post that matched the description of the dog. The dog was found and reunited with the owners.

1. If you were Jacqueline what precaution would you have taken to prevent this from happening?

2. If you saw the same dog you just saw on a post wondering on the streets what would you do?

My Answer- If i was in her shoes I would have called someone to help or called the police and i would not have done that by myself and if i saw the same dog on a lost dog post you bet would go out of my way to help it and find its owners.

  • Well done! Be sure to comment three different days.

  • I would've tried to have been more careful trying to save the dog. If I saw a dog, I probably wouldn't stop. It might just be someone who lets their dog run free. If the dog was obviously hunger or neglected then I most definitely would take it in.

  • If it was my own dog I would definitely try to save the dog. But, some dog that you just saw on a social media website? That just seems strange to me that she tried so hard to save the dog. This takes animal lovers to a new level. If I was Jacqueline I would have called for help to get the dog. If I saw a dog that I saw on a lost dog I would probably just take it to my house and try to contact the owners. But, in this case if it was by the river and I was in danger of dying I would just call the police to help me get the dog.

  • I would have called someone and told them that I was chasing after it just in case something happened and have them come help just in case. Also if it was just on the streets I would try to get the dog and return it to its owner.

  • Well I am guessing she went chasing the dog down the sandbar and slipped. She could have either left the dog, or had been more careful. If I saw the dog of course I would try and catch it; however, I would not chase it forever or go into ditches or sandbars.

  • If I was her, I would definitely try to call someone to let them know what was going on. If I was someone else and saw the dog I would also try to take it back to its owner and take care of it until then.

  • I would let someone know where I was and also call for help. If I seen the same dog I would contact the owners and try to grab it but I wouldn't chase it near a river. I would watch the dog to see where it goes and let the owners get it.

  • I would Bring a life jacket or something that can allow me to float, or be more careful when casing the dog. Case after it or call it so I could return it to it's owners and make sure no one steals the dog or kills it.

  • I would have gotten help from someone nearby. I would create a plan before just jumping into a lake. However, I would do the same thing, trying to rescue the dog, because I love animals and I would want to protect them in any way possible...I would just be more careful doing it.

  • I probably would have gotten someone to help me find the dog or wait it out until morning. From what I've read it doesn't seem like she knew the dog or the owners, so it was kinda useless. If I saw that dog, I would try to help if it seemed safe and right to do at the time.
