A US Embassy closes in Kabul, Afghanistan Friday night. The reason it has closed? Four dead Americans. Two American soldiers and two American contractors were killed by Taliban militants. Spokesman John Kirby says "The Kubal US Embassy will be open Sunday November 20th". Two days before, insurgents attacked the German Consulate in the northern city of Mazar-i-Sharif, killing six people and wounding more than 100.

I think it was a good idea for the embassy to close. I think the 2 day delay was good to allow the workers of the embassy to "recover/recoup" from the attacks.

I think it was the best thing to do for the embassy, I think that most people wanted rethink and regroup after the attack and they wanted people to have a little break from the experience.
