Tigers on verge of extinction

There are fewer than 3,500 tigers left in the wild today and the illegal trapping still occurs. Over 1000 tigers are poached each year from the wilds for their furs mostly. In the past decade the tigers numbers have dropped about 96,500 tigers, fromm 100,000 to 3,500 today. For the past thirty years tigers have been on the list as a species under threat of extinction. The most illegal activity happens in india, where there were about 481 seizures. Think this isn't so bad?? India has most of the worlds population of tigers and it is not the only country with this problem making the illegal trade of animals as the third most lucrative black market product. Link.

I love tigers. They're one of the coolest animals and it would be such a shame to see them go. If only something could be done to stop it.

That is really sad. I'll admit that their furs look cool, but they look better on them.

I think people should stop killing tigers they pretty cool animals to see, and if people keep hunting them we wont be able to see them any more.

I agree with cheryl. this is terrible. the tigers dont deserve it. besides, they are so cool! a fur carpet isnt

tigers are one of my favorite animals. it sad to think that they cut up an animal the way they do. i feel so sorry for the tigers i mean they are happy in the wild. it would be sad to think that at one point in the world all the tigers would be in the zoo. they are not happy there. i would be like saying lets put people in the zoos other wise we are gonna sell them on the black market.

That is very sad the tiger is a very beautiful animal and doesn't deserve what it is getting. Something needs to really happen before they go extinct and we can't bring them back.

ok obviously with zoos and such they will never actually go extinct but this is dissappointing
