Religion in the world dates back to over 3,000 years ago to what people believe to be the world's oldest religion which is Hinduism. Hinduism originated in the Indian subcontinent of Asia by people who believed in the doctrines of Samsara, the continuous cycle of life, death, and reincarnation. They also believed in karma, the law of cause and effect. Where everything you do has a cause and effect relationship.
Then, moving on to a more newer religion which is Christianity, Christianity is a religion that believes that there is a God and a Jesus, and that in the end we will all go to heaven to be “tested” (In a way) and then resurrected (Can differ slightly by some branches). Christianity was created by Jesus and his disciples gathering for sermons (A message delivered to a congregation).
The benefits of these religions are: People who are very spiritual/ religious are normally very active in their church and are closer with their family than most, they are also overall happier with their life. They tend to live happier lives because divorce rates for families that have a religion versus families that don’t have a religion are lower. Another reason is that when people who have a religion go through hard times, they have something to rely on to get them through those hard times, also decreasing suicide rates.
There can also be some bad things about religion like people fighting about the better religion like people shaming others' religion or making fun of them because they believe in different things. A common thing I see with religion is people saying to others that: “If you don’t join this church, you won’t go to heaven”. Or some other things like that.
I personally believe that religion can help our society since it can reduce suicide rates and divorce rates and can do a lot of good but I do think that in today’s world it can be confusing whether to have a religion or not. Mainly because there are so many of them. And it also causes lots of fights off of it. But most of it is very beneficial to people.

What do you think about the many different religions? I think that it is good that there is a big diverse field of religions and everyone is going to think that their specific religion is correct. What are some of the good or bad things that you think can come from religion? Some people might spend a lot of money or time just to be wrong when they die.
