Self-driving cars, also known as autonomous or driverless cars, are vehicles that can drive themselves without human input. They have been gaining popularity due to advancements in technology. These vehicles use a combination of sensors, cameras, radar, and artificial intelligence (AI) to travel without a human operator.
Self-driving cars can bring many benefits to roadways and transportation industries, such as reducing accident rates. Reports have shown self-driving cars to saven society around $800 billion each year. Reduced strain on the healthcare system, being able to transport those who cannot or choose not to drive, as well as being electric, therefore environmentally friendly are all other ways that self-driving cars have benefited society.
On the other hand, those who have jobs that require driving will no longer be needed with self-driving cars. Fast food delivery and Uber drivers would also be replaced. While self-driving vehicles may save a lot of money in the long-term, the cost is overwhelming. It could cost around $250,000 to own a fully autonomous vehicle. As new technology matures, cost is expected to come down. Another disadvantage is machine error. If any software or part of the vehicle fails, it can put the driver in more danger than if the driver was to personally take control of it.

What do you think about Self-driving vehicles? I personally wouldn't want to have an electric vehicle, this is because even with all of the technology and fancy sensors that there is not a chance it's as safe as a real person driving. I think that if you dont want to drive you should just call an uber or a lyft.
I think self-driving vehicles will probably be good enough in 20 years to taxi people around but I wouldn't want it to completley replace human-driven cars because people like driving and self-driving cars could always malfunction and kill the person riding.
What do you think about Self-driving vehicles? I don't think we need self-driving cars, and we should just keep the cars that we have. Even if you have a self-driven car, a human will still need to be at the wheel watching. Sometimes things the car is programmed for will happen, and a person will need to help the car.
What do you think about Self-driving vehicles? I think they could be good and bad. If they don't understand and crash, it would be bad. Do you think they are helpful or harmful? Once again, they could be helpful and harmful. It could prevent drunk driving for example, but also could hurt the environment.
1.) I think self-driving vehicles are good, but I still think they need to be controlled, or monitored by actual humans/natural intelligence. If not monitored or programmed correctly, there could be issues that occur. I think people should not be heavily reliant on self-driving vehicles because mistakes could occur and cause people to become lazy.
I believe that self-driving vehicles are dangerous and should not be allowed in public for people to drive around in. They most likely increase the chances of getting in a crash because people will be less focused and will probably make people feel as though they don't need to pay attention as much.
I think self-driving cars can be good and bad. I feel like they are helpful when someone just needs a break. I think they are bad because it can be scary knowing that you have to trust the car. I think they can be harmful since you never know when anything bad can happen.
I see both side of this. I think the world can be very scary when humans are not actully driving, but I also see how it can be a pro for fast food drivers. overall I do not like self transportation, I think it is not safe, really at all.
What do you think about Self-driving vehicles? I think they could go both ways. Self driving cars would be very helpful, you could do work, take a nap, and lots. If you are not brave you probably wouldn't take the "risk" of riding in a self driven vehicle.
Do you think they are helpful or harmful? I think they are both because you can get many things done without having to look up at the rode but you could take a wrong turn with a fault in the system and go complete opposite way without knowing.
This has both good and bad aspects. It will help prevent fewer accidents, but that means people will become lazier with their driving. I think that it would be better if we just kept with what we have now today and should just keep away from self-driving cars. Which I think is best for the economy.
