The pentagon found out information on a soldier named Richard Duffy who was supposedly blow up on a ship in WWII. There were 130 missing from the explosion and Duffy's was actually buried as unknown. There is this cemetery in New York where they think a lot of the unknown missing soldiers were buried so the pentagon is tracing who is buried there. Darcy Duffy is the sister of the missing loved one and feels he should have a proper burial in full military respect. Many families now are wondering if there missing loved one is buried there and if they can cut past the red tape and dig deeper into files.
Questions
1) Why do you think it took so long to find the soldiers identity?
2) Do you feel that there should be a proper burial for this soldier?
My Answers
I believe this soldiers' identity was not found for a long time because there are a lot of soldiers to keep track of. I feel the soldier should have a proper burial because he fought for the U.S. should be buried like every other soldier. He fought for our freedoms and we need to repay him with at least something nice.

Great job Jacob!
That could of been a serious possibility because he was in an explosion and almost everything just evaporates when the explosion happens so big and so close. I agree that the soldier needs a proper burial too.
I think it took so long because there are a lot of soldiers to go through and technology makes it easier to identify people. I think there should be a proper burial.
The technology was a serious problem back then, i agree, so it was tough to track them down then go back into the paper work during WWII. I also believe there should be a proper burial for this soldier.
because when he died it was harder to id people and as the years went by it just got buried. no i dont because it would disturbe the rest of the soldier just put his name on the stone
It was extremely hard to identify soldiers after such along period of time but critical to finding there identity. I disagree with you because the soldier did fight for our country and died for your privileges. He deserves the proper respect and burial he earned.
I think maybe they were too busy to find some other soldiers identities and unfortunately they could't find Duff's identity, yes I do feel that there should be proper burial as they gave their lives to fight for their country.
They are extremely busy with the present day things and are just way to busy to find information from way back in WWII. Duffy's identity was found therefore he needs to have a proper burial with all military respect.
I think it was so hard to find the soldiers because at this time there were so many soldiers that they had to look for. I believe there should be a proper burial for this soldier because he fought for our country and risked his life
There is a large amount of soldiers that need to be taken care of and there is just too many to keep track of each and every one. He did fight for our country and we need to pay respect to them because they did risk there life.
