" About 70% of plastic water bottles bought in the United States are not recycled." Most of the plastic water bottles end up in the sea or landfills. Also, plastic water bottles can create micro plastics that can leak into the ocean. There are reports of microplastics in humans and the health effects of it. "Microplastics have been detected in food consumed by humans" Side effects of microplastics are nausea vomiting and many other effects.
Theirs lots of alternatives like using a metal water bottle, also boxed water is good and better for the environment. Instead of buying plastic water bottles get glassed water it's a better option. The glassed water might be a little more expensive but its better for the environment.
By having the plastic water bottles being banned there's a lot of benefits like having better drinking water and having less pollution.
Do you use single-use plastic water bottles?
What do you think the United States is going to do about it?

I sometimes use plastic water bottles when I am traveling, but the majority of the time I use my metal water bottle. I think it is much more eco-friendly and easier to just use a metal water bottle since you don't have to deal with throwing away the bottle. Water in plastic water bottles can also contain chemicals from the plastic that can hurt your body.
I agree with the metal water bottle its way better than a normal plastic one.
I don't think plstic water bottles should be band becasue there easy to grab and go. I soemtimes use them but normally I carry my watter bottle. I think they are ok if they won't just though them away.
I do occasionally drink out of reusable water bottles, but most of the time I drink a lot of single-use plastic water bottles, I find them more convenient. I don't recycle my plastic bottles, I usually end up burning them in a burn barrel. I'm not really sure if the United States is going to do anything about this problem for the next couple of years, but I do see them having to do solve this problem sometime later in future.
No, I don't use plastic water bottles very often, I occasionally use them when I can't find my metal water bottle or when I'm in a hurry and I just need to grab one quick. I don't really like plastic water bottles they make the water taste kind of weird. I don't think the US will do a lot to fix it.
I do the same thing I only get plastic if I really have too. The water is oddly weird in the plastic bottles.
I only use plastic water bottles if I'm offered one; I don't go out of my way to use them. I have a metal water bottle that I use almost every day. I don't think that they should be banned because it's an easy way to transport water. If we did ban plastic bottles, then how we we ship water?
If it was up to me I would want plastic water bottles banned. They just cause a huge issue with pollution and don't have any good to them. I try to stay away from plastic bottles but it's hard when you're out and about and want to buy one. I think the best alternative to this issue would just to buy and use a reusable watter bottle.
I prefer to use reusable water bottles. I only use plastic bottles when I need to. When I do use plastic water bottles I always try to recycle them. I don't think the U.S. will do much about it because that would be a hard thing to stop. they should find an alternative way to fix the problem.
I would agree. Its a lot better and faster than the plastic ones. Also its cheaper all you have to do is clean it.
