230 people got arrested on Friday. The protester were armed with hammers and crowbars they also took rocks and bashed them in to storefront widows and City emergency vehicles. Also, a limo that was parked was started on fire shortly before President Trump's Swearing in Ceremony. The people involved were were from 26 different States with majority from Virginia, Maryland, New York, and Pennsylvania. The Leader member responsible for the attacks called the "Black bloc" escaped before the police could grab them. There were even people that were inside the stores or helping the injured that were also taken to custody and they were not even involved in the violence. There was already court appearances Saturday, it was a process that went on from the morning til the evening as people were brought into D.C. Superior Court in groups of 10. Most will face a face a felony charge of rioting with a maximum of 10-years in prison. The Felony is charged if any person suffers serious body injures and if you are caught on camera a property damage fine will be another $5,000. All the damage together is over $100,000. Return court dates are being set for February and March for the first couple protester that were released on Saturday.

1.) I feel like the protesters punishment was good but it is really hard to tell who did what sense there is 230 of them.
2.) I feel like sense there was so many people that it was at the time hard to see tell who was doing what and so to get as many as they could they had to take everyone on the seen.
3.) this kinda makes me sad because bashing windows and starting a limo on fire isn't gonna change that Trump is our president they are not gonna listen just because you start a limo on fire. You cant stop something with violence nothing ever happens.
4.) I would have ran away being completely honest because i wouldn't want to get hurt just trying to help.

Well done overall. Perhaps shorten your title down a bit and be sure to capitalize words in it. Also, all of your comments were done today(on Friday). You should comment throughout the entire week-at least three different days.
I believe that the punishments are right for what they did. They have no reason to do all that damage over someone they don't like. I think that the police didn't know who was responsible for this so anybody who was around the area was questioned. If I would have seen this riot I would have went the other way and not gotten involved in it.
Yes, i believe this punishment is good they need to be punished because they shouldn't be able to go around and destroying things and not be punished for what they did. No i dont think its fair for the people that didn't do it but they were there so they cant really prove they didn't do anything. This makes me sad that people have to do this to other city's and ruin other peoples life. I would probably call the riot in so they get in trouble and they get stopped.

I feel that the punishment was fit. If they were going out to harm peoples stores and property they should have to pay for it and if done enough go to jail. I don't believe that arresting those that helped was a good option because that just makes people not want to trust the cops. It really confuses me to why people do this. The only thing a violent protest will do is make you pay money and possible get injured. If I had seen this riot I would have gotten out of the way as quick as I could and possibly call the cops depending on what I saw, if there was a limo on fire I definitely would have called the cops.

I think the punishment is good, but there are a lot of people. No I don't think its fair but they were seen but they were there and there could be a suspicion because they were there. I think its dumb that people do riots because they are against what people do but they start a lot of chaos among people. I would get away because I don't want to get hurt or involved with anything.
I Would have ran away too but what would of happen if they thought that you saw the cops and started to run away. I would also feel bad because like what if that hurt person was you i would want someone to help me so why wouldn't i help them.
I think this situation is some what unfair for those who didn't take part in the violence. It will be ok, as long as innocent people don't get punished. If I was around something like this I would evacuate the area as soon as I could get somewhere safe.
I agree that the situation for the ones that did not take part in the violence is unfair. But, I also know that to get the bad ones they also had to get the good ones. I would also evacuate the situation and get to a safe place and i would not sit there and video tape like others did.
