If you were a parent how would you feel if you kid was involved?
Do you think this could of been prevented? If so how?
Should schools have armed school guards?

If my kid was involved, I think I would be terrified and worried. Having armed guards at schools could help in preventing something like this from happening again. However, I think it could cause problems as well because the guards might scare the kids.
I think the students should have somewhat of an idea if this whats to happen even if it you have to be physical otherwise you stand there scared. The parents are to blame for because they dont check what their kid is doing.
I think students would feel safer if there were armed guards around or in the school. I think it could've been prevented if the security had been better. If my child were involved I would be scared, you never know what can happen with school shootings.
I feel like there is no harm in having armed school guards wandering at specific entrences. They might cause some tension and uneasyness within the student body, but they are there to protect the students from threatening people quickly. It would be more of a symbol to any potential school shooters that they will not get very far if they choose our school to mess with.
If I was a parent, I would be so scared about my child. I feel like this could have been further prevented through more complete background checks and more gun checks. Schools maybe shouldn't have armed guards, but tougher security.
1) If my kid was involved I would be freaking out, also I would be worried, and scared by the news. I probably wouldn't think its true at first until I read it again. Then I would freak out and take things into my own hands.
2) No there isn't any things that could have prevented this unless the kids were bullied then they could've talked to a teacher and tried to fix things
3) It depends how big the school is. Ours, no!
I would be suprised on how the event happened take futher precautions to prevent it from happening again. I feel like the parents are to blame because if you had good parents then all this would never have happened.
If I were a father, I would be worried and scared by the news, it would have been able to avoid the tragedy if the child did not get upset unless he had problems of mind, the schools should not have security guards that would make things worse depending on the place, if it is to dangerous.
I would be utterly in shock if my kid ever did anthing remotely close to this. I would feel insanely guilty...How could I miss the signs? The kid who open fired probably had personal issues--maybe he was bullied, depressed, felt powerless, etc. The school can't know what everyone is feeling. However, kids should probably be checked for weapons, especially in larger cities that have larger schools.
