A patient realized that he was having a very bad cough and was not feeling well. He then went to the hospital where they did many scans he was then diagnosed with pneumonia, thickening and stiffness in the right lung, and bronchitis, or damage of the breathing tubes. This all meant less air was entering his lungs. He then decided to go and visit Munavvar's clinic. At the clinic they preformed a CAT scan and the doctor's realized that there was a lump in the bottom left of the mans right lung. The doctor's thought that the patient had developed a tumor. They decided to try and remove the tumor before it caused anymore damage when they took what they thought was a tumor out it was actually a plastic cone.

  • Interesting story! Be sure to include your personal thoughts within your summary. Also be sure to capitalize words in your title. You only commented three times. This is worth 20/50 points.

  • I think it went unnoticed because the toy could've been lodged somewhere that would make the patient feel uncomfortable and it was probably small enough to be unnoticed by the body. I would be shocked because it had been there for 40 years and I would question as to why I hadn't felt anything or had any troubles.

  • I think that this probably went unnoticed because it could've been hidden behind other bones in his body. It more than likely started shifting and causing him problems and that's how it was probably noticed. If I was a doctor, I would be very shocked and supersized. I would also find it kinda humorous.

  • 1. I think he did not notice the toy because he had never bothered to be there, for some strange reason, it did not hurt until 40 years later, also his body got used to having that, for that reason, nobody ever noticed.

    2. My first reaction would be strange, but I'm sure that later it would be fun to laugh and make jokes, also I am sure that the man was happy to have only a toy and not a tumor.

  • They may not have got a good enough look at the plastic cone and when they saw the shape right away they thought tumor. I would be very relieved! Still nervous about the fact that there is a plastic cone in my body but that would be better to take out of me then a tumor.

  • he just didnt relize that he had something in there and didnt know or remameber that he swollowed it as a kid then he forgot about it  laugh and think that i wasnt gonna die anymore

  • I've heard about things like this happening before. It's hard to imagine going 40 years never knowing that you swallowed a toy. I would be so surprised if I were in this position.

  • 1. I think it went unnoticed because maybe it was small enough not to do a lot of damage in a big amount of time. 2. I would be very grateful that it wasn't a tumor, and I think it would be kind of a relief to know it was just a toy. I also think it would be kind of humorous also.

  • When he was little he probably didn't recognize that his lung wasn't okay and through the years his body more than likely adapted and grew around it. Later on in life he noticed because he was done growing and getting older his lungs aren't as strong as they used to be. I would be shocked and double check to make sure I was seeing things right .

  • maybe he just didnt knotice the cone that could be possible but as he got older his lung couldnt keep up and he started to notice it. honestly i would be relieved for him but kinda laugh in a good way.
