Saturday night there was a limousine accident in New York outside an Apple Barrel restaurant. The limousine had 18 passengers that were on their way to a birthday party. They went over a intersection going about ten or so miles per hour over the speed limit when people around the area heard what they thought to be an explosion. All 18 people inside the limousine were killed along with two bystanders making this the deadliest accient in over 9 years. Officials and first responders got to the site almost immediately and stayed through the night to deal with the problem. The intersection the limousine crashed at is well known to be quite dangerous as right before the intersection is a steep hill that often causes problems for larger vehicles and people towing things over the hill. There have been attempts at trying to make the street safer in the past but people still felt that the intersection is quite dangerous.
What do you feel should be done about the dangerous intersection???
I believe they should apply more signs or warnings that would make me people more aware of a dangerous intersection ahead before they reach the area.
How in the future do you think we could prevent large accidents like this???
Maybe find the areas in cities where accidents happen most often and try to either fix the roads problem or apply signs and such to warn drivers of a possible danger.

I think they should fix the intersection, it's obviously too dangerous if people are dying on it. I think that cities need to pay more attention to the number of accidents in what areas. Some areas have more accidents than others because they are dangerous. Fixing roads and putting warning signs could possibly save some lives in some dangerous areas.
I feel that for that this danerous intersection should be delt with because that is terrible that it has caused this many accidents and the after math of this killed a lot of people which is not good. I think that we should make this intersection more safe and that would help prevent anything like this from happening again.
They should put up cameras and stop signs and lights. Just less crazy traffic and less road work, just to make it safer. because their are a lot of crazy accidents these days.
The limo should of been few miles a way from the explosion so they won't be in the explosion. I would ride a bike or walk or even take my own car to the party or wherever that you are planning to go.
I think that the road needs to be fixed so that it is safer and that there needs to be signs warning people of the bad road so that people can be more cautious and safe. Accidents like this could be prevented in the future by fixing the problems when they happen and not after multiple accidents.
I believe that more warning should have been in place to make people aware about the intersection. We could add signs and make new ways for people to go around dangerous intersections. It is worth spending extra money to fix the problems, instead of losing lives.
I also believe that they should put up more signs showing that there is an intersection and that they need to slow down so they dont get into a giant crash or they should make the road a one way and the one way is going up the hill instead.
I think that there is not really anyway to stop big wrecks from happening or wrecks in general because people get in wrecks for any reason and it would be hard to get all of those things under control.
I believe that they should put more cautionaries and signs to warn people way before so that they know that it's up ahead. I think in the future we couldn't prevent things like this, but we could always decrease the chances of it happening. Especially with new innovations in technology.
I think they need to hang more signs about the hill to like slow down or tell them the dangers of it so then hopefully they could be able to prevent an accident. I think the best way to prevent this in the future is to fix the roads that are dangerous and causeing the most accidents.
