ISIS' Next Plan Involves U.S. Gun Shows

ISIS leaders are encouraging their follower to use new terrorist tactics. One of them being to buy guns at U.S. gun shows in order to take multiple people hostage. Buying these weapons at the gun shows would allow them to avoid background checks. Many of the locations terrorist plan on taking hostages are as follows: night clubs, movie theaters, busy malls/stores, concert halls, university campuses, and many more. Terrorist choose these areas because they are extremely busy and closed off. Another terrible and horrifying way these people take hostages is by placing fake job ads on the internet, allowing them to lead the victims into vacant areas to be killed or taken hostage. The main targets of these terrorist tend to be non- Muslim men in countries such as the United States.

Do you think gun shows should require background checks in order to avoid these kind of events?

Why do you think ISIS' targets tend to be non-Muslim men?

My opinion:

I think gun shows should definitely begin to make background checks a routine thing. Although, many buy guns to ensure their own safety, it is better to be safe than sorry. I think that ISIS targets non-Muslim people mainly because they are not Muslim, and ISIS believes that anyone who does not believe in their religion are terrible people.

  • Well done!

  • I think that if you are going to buy a gun in the United States you need to have a background check no matter what, that way it will help stop some of these attacks. I think ISIS attack non Muslim men because the believe that the Muslim religion is just better and they don't support other religions.

  • Yes, gun shows should require background checks because to own a gun you should be trustworthy. Many people have taken advantage of guns and have hurt and killed people. They target non-Muslims because people are more aware of Muslim and tend to associate them with guns and ISIS. This way no one will see it coming and have a better chance at being trusted.

  • They should start doing anything they can to protect our citizens and do what it takes to avoid problems. They probably target these men because there are many of them.

  • I think that they should start doing background checks because it could limit who could buy guns. It wouldn't hurt anything, it just might take some more time to get the gun. I think that ISIS target infidels (Non-Muslims) because they are purely because they are not Muslim.

  • I think that they should definitely start to do background checks because people can pretty much buy what ever they want if they want to. I believe that they are non-Muslim because they want to be part of the ISIS.

  • i think that they need backround checks and am hugely suprised that they dont have it in place already. because we are allowed to be free and think freely. we are the opposite of them. and to them men are worth more then women so they think we are worth more. but is the US the women would rise up and fight if all the men were taken anyways.

  • I think that background checks should be required because you never know who is buying what, or what that person could do with that object. ISIS probably targets non-Muslim people because they are not their religion and they want to get rid of anyone who doesn't agree with them.

    • I agree with you, background checks should become a regular thing. Mainly because we don't know what someone plans do with the gun that they buy. Requiring background checks would hopefully stop, or at least slow down many tragic events.

  • Yes I think a little bit more security would not hurt. I think ISIS targets non-Muslims because they are different have have different views that they disagree with
