Is climate change changing the world that much?

Climate change is an occurring state of world devastation and "causes the weather" to be worse, hotter or colder each year. The reason people think climate change is real is because of what us humans do like factories polluting the air and water just like vehicles putting carbon monoxide in the air. The reason people think it isn't real is because of politics. People are so political for a person that they believe every single thing that person says. Climate change can change weather patterns, raise temps, raise the sea level, disrupt ecosystems, and can change human health.

I believe climate change can change the world in a lot of ways. Climate changes the sea levels to go up 6-8 inches in the past 100 years, which means .14 inches per year. The way it makes the temperature go up is the burning of fossil fuels and us humans releasing greenhouse gasses, and the temp has gone up more than 1 degree in the span of 10 years in iowa which may not seem like a lot but in 50 years over 5 degrees will be added to Iowa's temp. It disrupts ecosystems by causing shifts in species like dolphins or chimpanzees, another reason is because it increases the intensity of the weather causing animals to not be able to live where they once lived.

It changes us too by giving us less air to breathe because of all those factories putting gases in the air and cars putting carbon monoxide into the sky. Carbon monoxide can also kill the plants because of the harsh climate conditions it gets into like hurricanes, tornadoes, forest fires, and flash floods. It can ruin the food we eat too by killing the plants we use for food and then the animals don't have anything to eat causing the animals to die and the animals that we eat die causing us to die but that won't happen for a long long time.

Does climate change change the world that much?

Is climate change that much to worry about?

should we slow down on polutiong the air?

    • poluting the air is poluting the earth because the polution is getting trapped in the atmosphere and inside the atmosphere is considered the earth while the outside is considered space

  • I think that climate change is changing the world, but I think it is happening slowly. Some of these changes as of now might be too little for us to notice. I agree though with the fact that climate change disrupts ecosystems. Some of these changes can harm the enviroment and our lives, and I think that it will continue to get worse as time goes on, but for now it isn't drastically effecting us.

    • I agree but even though it is happening very slowly it can still cause a little bit of damage like in antarctica the ice melting will cause the animals to die

  • I think it does have an impact overtime but it is not a day to day noticeable thing. If you look over weeks and months then you could see the effect it is having but if you look at it one day at a time it wont look very substantial. The overall average temperature is going up in some of the colder places so this could be a problem in the ice melting and animals not having a place to live

    • I agree with what you say on how it changes but we just do not notice it on a day to day basis. It does have an effect like what you said. It could be a problem in the future. It could affect us in many ways in the future but it is not a problem.

    • I agree with the animals in antartica because the ice melting can cause animals to drown and possibly go extinct but when that happens that would be important but as if right now its not that serious.

  • Climate change also plays a huge factor into the biodiversity of different ecosystems. For example, different change in temperature can cause extinction to animals because many plants won't be able to adapt quick enough leading to a direct affect on the whole food chain.

    • I agree but that isnt the only thing that affects the animals to go extinct the weather plays another big role in this

  • I think that yes it changes our world but not as quickly as people are saying. Once it becomes a bigger issue then I think thats when people should start to take more action and be more cautions. As of now it is happening slowly to were most people dont think about it. However, I think that we should slow down so that the problem doesnt come quicker.

    • I agree with you. I don't think the changes are happening quickly and I don't think it is extremely harmful to us yet. I also agree though that we need to be careful, because we can slow the problem down and help improve the enviroment.
