Yoshioka Tatsuya, a non-governmental worker for Peace Boat, had always had a dream of creating an Eco-friendly cruise ship. Peace Boat runs voyages for educational purposes. The ship will be called 'EcoShip' will have a heavy price of five-hundred million USD to be constructed. The ship will be constructed by Finland's Arctech. A German environmental group researched that everyday cruise ships pollute hundreds of tons of heavy oil and fuel each day. 
The EcoShip will be much cleaner by having solar panels, wind power, liquid natural gas, also should produce up to forty percent less carbon dioxide than the conventional ship. The ship will have the capacity to accommodate 2,220 people and to hold conventions while docked. The ship is purposefully designed to mimic a whale. The passengers pay between $15,000 to $18,000 USD.
"There's potential with a very green cruise ship to get a lot of attention at each port of call and that can make an impact," Tatsuya stated in the interview. Peace Boat hopes to set their first voyage in 2020.

It really does grasp my attention, because I am into cruise ships and I have had experience with cruises.

I would love to aboard on this type of idea of ship. I do wish this works out the way they hope. I believe the world has too much pollution and trying to make it 'clean' or 'green.'

i think that it would be really cool due to the way the ship would have to be built yes i would one because i havent been on a crusie or anything like that and i would also like to see how they would have to run the ship
I would consider going aboard the ship as long as it has had trial runs and it safe. I think the world has a pollution issue that this could help. I think the world could benefit from having an eco friendly cruise ship in availability.
I think the idea of the EcoShips is great but a little out of reach in a financial way. Cruise ships are cool and a fun way to vacation, however the price of this ship is quite high, both for boarding and creation.
I think it would be a great idea because it's better for the ecosystem. It seems like it would be a fun thing to be on I would love it because going on a ship in general is a fun thing, but knowing that it's not hurting the economy just makes it ten times better so I'm looking forward to it if I could someday I would, that's a promise.
