Girls More Pressured than boys?

In today's society, girls often find themselves facing pressures and expectations that can be overwhelming at times. From a young age, girls are bombarded with societal norms and expectations that can shape their behavior and choices. While boys certainly face their own set of pressures, it can be argued that girls have more expectations.

One of the main areas where girls face pressure is their appearance. From a young age, girls are told how they should look, what size you should, and how you should present yourself. The media constantly has unrealistic beauty standards, causing girls to feel pressured to be something they're not. This pressure to have society's beauty standards can lead to low self-esteem, body image issues, and even the development of eating disorders.

Social expectations and gender stereotypes also contribute to the pressure girls feel in their relationships. Girls are often expected to be caring and accommodating, which can lead to them sacrificing their own needs for others. The fear of being labeled as needy  can prevent girls from expressing their opinions. This can affect their self-confidence.

It is important to know that boys also face pressures and expectations as well. They may face expectations to be strong, independent, and successful, which can be equally challenging. However, it is important to recognize that girls often face additional pressures and expectations from society.

Do you think Girls are more?

Do you think society makes impossible beauty standards.

  • Great topic choice! I do think your summary could be a bit longfer and you also didn't reply to the comments posted yesterday(this is worth 30 points). Be sure to bump your topic if you don't have comments early in the week.

  • I think girls are pressured. They do make high and impossible beauty standards, but girls are also pressured in doing things to their body. People make comments about the girl's body and when they change it, the people still aren't hjappy. It's just confusing.

  • Personally I think that girls are more pressured than boys. You summed it up well. I have the feeling that girls often have to hold back, while boys don't have to back down.I would say that the beauty standards exist for girls and boys. A boy muscular and a girl tall and slim. I am sure that society unfortunately has a strong influence on our behavior, especially at our age.
