Florida Shooting

Early of last week a gun man identified as Nickolas Cruz, Senior, he was a member of their schools ROTC. Days before he acted out this horrible incident he was acting different and refused to wear his ROTC uniform that had "Whatever it Takes" on it. His leader noticed and asked what it would take to get him to wear it and he simply said "A snickers Bar" and from then on he wore it. He ended up killing 14 students, three of which were members of ROTC.

The FBI mishandling of the warnings about the gunman in the Parkland high scool shooting is worse than initially believed as authorities received a tip on Jan. 5 and failed to follow-up. #Tucker To the left is Nickolas Cruz

Do you think his ROTC officer should have noticed his strange behavior and done something about it?

My answer: I think he definitely should have. Because nobody no one knows their cadets better than their leader.

What do you think the penalty be?

My Answer: I am a supporter of the deathj penalty so I think something along those lines should take place.

  • Overall, your summary should be a bit longer explaining things more, such as what the ROTC is. You also only replied one time. When you have only two pages of comments, you should comment to most people.

  • I think that the ROTC officer should have payed closer attention to his behavior. But, then again, you can never tell how people are feeling or what they are going to do. It is not the officer's fault...It is the psychotic killer's fault. This situation shows that you can never be too careful, and you should always take the actions of others seriously. I think this guy should spend the rest of his life in prison. I don't really know my opinion on the death penalty yet...

  • I don't know what ROTC is, but he should've noticed something but then again everyone feels that way after we think back on an event. I think life in a mental institution or prison.

  • I don't know for sure what the penalty should be, but I can tell he was very rood. If someone was that rood here, I wouldn't want to be their friend, but I also wouldn't want them to shoot 14 people.

  • I think he shoud've noticed his odd behaivor. Police are known to be the smartest people and notice every little thing. Police need to do better catching these awful people. I think he should be in jail for life.

  • well it depends on how long Nickolas Cruz had been part of ROCT. If Nick hasn't been part of the ROCT long then it would be hard to say what is out of character since the leader might not have known him as long.

As for the punishment mabey put him in jail for quite a long time. The biggest punishment is probably carrying the memory of what he has done and the guilt with him for the rest of his life.

  • I think every group of people is going to have a couple that are going to be refusive and acting up. If they were to do something about it and stop the shooting from happening, they would have to do that to everyone that is "acting suspicious". I think either death penalty for being responisble for the lives of 17 people or life in prison.

  • Yes for sure they should have had been a little more cautious on him because it seemed kinda fishy. I think this kid need to be shot or in jail for the rest of his life because this was a horrible event that had happened.

  • I feel like even if it wasn't the leader someone should have acknowlaged his strange behavior and should have been more aware.

I am a firm beiliver in charging a highschooler with an adult charge. he should be jailed for his crime and should serve a sentence equal to an adults. and should be required to attend therapy and phyc evaluations.

  • I know that people should be very closely monitored, but if he began to wear his uniform again and act  ack to normal, why would people need to look into his behavior? As for his punishment, I believe he should have a life sentence, and he should be closely evalutated for mental illness or something related.
