the first final exam was in 1830 at the harvard school in the 19th century it was created to check the knowledge of the students the problem was that they pick random sampling, random assignment, and made an exam after that the schools start doing it i now is something they have to do every end of semester and the end of the year.
heightened anxiety levels among students.
Thelin, author of “A History of American Higher Education. “Consequently, in the 1830s, Yale and Harvard began introducing written biennial tests. The notion spread, and by the late 19th century, such exams had become accepted practice on many campuses.” The format of the exams changed from oral to written assessments.
i think they are good because of two points:
-first you let the teachers know what you learn and let them decide if you go to trhe next level or not
-second the student get prepared for the final exam
but what you guys think about the final exam?
do you think final exams should be abolished?

Your topic would have been better at the end of gthe semester. Be sure to comment back to students. It's worth 30 points.
I do not think we should get rid of final exams. They are very beneficial to teachers and for students to know how much they actually learned that year. I think final exams are very stressful and sometimes even boring. Although for me it feels like it just ties up the year perfectly, like that is how its supposed to end and I don't have to worry about that class again. If anything final exam should be worth less points because the main point is to see what we have learned throughout the year.
I believe that final exams should not be abolished. I do not like them but they are very benificial to teachers to show what your level of learning is in their class. So the final exam should stay.
I don't think final exams should be abolished. Though they are really boring and sometimes hard, they are a good way for teachers and students to track progress. This helps teachers decide what they need to do and what students need help and don't need help.
I do not believe final exams should be abolished because final exams are a good thing for schools to see how much you've learned in the school year. I'm not a big fan of final exams because they can be quite stressful and pressuring for time management. However, they should be required because it tests students on their academic performance and how much information they've gathered over the years.
I don't think that final exams should be abolished. Final exams are a way for teachers and staff to see how much you have learned throughout the semester and the year. I don't love them but I know it's something we need to do for the teachers. Teachers can also use the information to know what they need to teach more about.
I don't think that final exams should necessarily be abolished, but I don't think that they should count for the amount of points that they do. Sometimes they will count for 15% or more of your quarter grade. And if you are a bad test taker, they can ruin your grade.
I think final exams shouldn't be forced but taked if grades are bad or if you would like. They just cause teens to stress out and become anxious because it decides your overall grade for the semester and the year. And also if a students has really good quarter grades, the semester and end of the year grades shouldn't be based on your test score if you do bad.
I think that final exams are good way to show that you really did learn in that class, but I also think that it can be stressful to worry about them. All in all I final exams should stay.
