What is the energy supply crisis?
The energy supply crisis is a shortage of energy across the world, the crisis slowly started from power companies that had a tough time during covid but then vastly spread and grew in a short period of time.Some countires like Eroupe who rely on Russia for their gas supply could be experianceing gas rationing.With the global energy crisis many contries are experianceing significant poverty occurances.
What is causing it?
In 2021 the worlds energy supply began to tighten because of many factors, the main being the companys trying to rebound form the global pandemic, but the shortage reached an all time high when Russia Invaded Ukraine.Higher energy prices have contributed to inflation and also causing familys to fall into poverty, but it also had an impact on energy companies many were forced to close. So to comprimise, many houshold have looked for a way and that way is putting a budget on household energy usage this is a compromise used in many developing economies.
What is being done?
Governments in these poverty strucken countries are trying to lessen the finacial damage done to energy companys by paying the difference done by inflation.Other contries are resorting to try and use coal for an alternate energy source.The IEA (International Energy Agency) released 182 million barrels of emergency oil to the public, and also released an act to cut oil usage and plans for Eroupe to reduce their reliance on Russian fuels.There is also alot of research and investing going into wind and solar power.

I think this crisis is making people think about what they're doing with their power because some people don't understand where it comes from or how much they are using so with this crisis they might understand what to use and what not to use.
I think that governments should step in and take control of energy shortage problems. They can release more oil and have energy companies use coal as well. I think power should be rationed if it needs to be If there is not a shortage, then power should not have to be rationed.
I think that there should be more efficient ways of conserving energy so not as much energy is going to waste. In addition, I think that there should be more renewable energy sources in better positions to get the most out of the environment without harming it.
I think that more wind and solar power can be used to help the crisis. I believe that the crisis will not be fixed soon or fast though, even if people are making different ways to make energy, many households are still using more and more energy for different things. Electric cars are using energy, leaving lights on, turning on a TV when you aren't going to watch it, etc.
I thnk that this crisis will make people think about what types of energy that they are using. I don't think power should be rationed, maybe just used smarter. If some countries need more energy to function, let them have the energy they need to function.
I think this crisis will be something that will largely push people into renewable energy. This crisis might also help wake people up on how reliant they are on the peace of countries. When one country is at war the prices of everything they supply will go up and everybody suffers.
I think that some people should just use their energy smartly. They need to conserve. Lots of people tend to leave lights on or accidentally forget to shut them off when they're not needed. I think power should be rationed thought the world, if that happened we'd have more power, and the world would probably be a better place.
I do think that power should be rationed around the world. I believe that there are so many diffrent ways to create more power. For example if there was better development with solar pannels, houses could have renewable energy sources for their homes. This would help cut back on power a lot.
I think everything in the world is high enough gas price and everythging is very high and i think it need to come down and if anything go any high people mighgt not be able to afford it. Other coutrys stuff is high but not as bad.
