At the Lake Abaya, in Southern Ethiopia, a pastor named Pastor Docho Eshete was baptizing at least 80 members when a crocodile jumped out of the water and grabbed him. However, Southern Ethiopia is known to have a big population of crocodiles in this lake, they still attended the ceremony to watch the pastor baptize 80 people, little did they know, there was gonna be a accident waiting to happen. The article stated that while he switched people to baptize, the crocodile came out of nowhere and took/grabbed the pastor. Immediately, fishermen and residents tried to save him, but Pastor Docho ended up dying due to injuries on his back, hands, and legs. They tried getting the crocodile with large fishing nets to prevent any further damage, but the crocodile escaped before they could do anything.

How would you respond to this accident? Would you try and do anything different?
I would respond to this event by saying that it was something that unexpectedly happened. I feel like there wouldn’t be anything you could do after it happened because it would happen so fast. The one thing I think they could have easily done, was know that crocodiles live in that lake and then know not to have a baptism ceremony in that lake.
Do you think it is the crocodiles fault or the people's decision on having the baptism at that lake? Why?
I believe that it was the people’s fault that they didn’t look into further information about the lake. I’m surprised something like this would happen after they stated ‘a big population of crocodiles live in the lake.’ Even though it was a sad ending finding out someone died from it, I feel like they should not point fingers at the crocodiles because people knew they have been living in this lake.

Great job Delaney!
I would be so scared and start running away! I would put up a net or fence to keep them out! I think its the peoples cause if you know their are crocs there you should take percautions before hand!!
I would attempt to help. The things I've read about attacks from this beast, you should go for the eyes and nose.
Also, if they knew there were crocodiles in the water, they shouldn't have done the ceramony there.
I would be scared and probably be freaking out. An crocodile attacking someone is vicious. I would try to help the pastor, but I don't know how much help I would be able to give. It was the crocodiles fault, but the people should have known to not baptize in a croc-infested lake. There has to be more lakes without as many crocs.
Well if there are crocodiles that live in this lake I would respond by saying it wouldn't have been surprising. I would have been shocked but I don't think I could have personaly done anything to help him. I would have done maybe the same thing. Well The crocodile shouldn't be targeted because the people know that the place was full of crocs.
It would be hard to know what I would do or how I would react if I were in this situation and then it happend so unecpectedly too and then it also happened so fast at the same time. Yes I agree that they should have known what was in the lake before you would baptize someone in it to make sure everying is safe ans the water is safe.
I would be weary on even going because of knowing this lake had a big population of crocodiles. I think that this innident was the peoples falt because they would have known that there were crocodiles there.
1)Yes I mean first id be shocked but after I would try and help the pastor because this is very bad and it looks bad on the lake and might even scare some people away from getting baptised.
2)I mean they should have looked into it to make it safe but they probably just figured it would be fine and I do think something needs to be dont about the corciile situation if this is happening
Well if I was at a baptism and this happened to my pastor I would defiently be sadded but my pastor says god does everything for a reason. I think that God just needed his wing man that day and that they were just at the right place at the right time for it to happen.
I would be very scared and I would not know what to do. I think it was niether because the crocodile was just trying to get food to stay alive and they didn't know that their was crocodiles in the lake.
