Does homeschooling benefit kids more than public or private school? Research shows that homeschooling is actually a very helpful way for kids to succeed in the future. It can help kids with certain skills that others aren’t able to develop in a public school. But, homeschooling also takes away the social and active aspect of public or private schools.

Homeschooling is an easier way for kids to learn. When at home, you are in a more comfortable environment than at a school. They have no distractions from other kids and it ends up being a better workplace. Homeschooling ensures that you get all the education attention you need personally. Kids in public or private schools are often overlooked academically, and homeschooling prevents that. Homeschooling students often are more skilled and intelligent. Being homeschooled is based on your academic skills, so you can take advantage of it at your own pace.

However, homeschooled kids don’t have the same amount of social interaction as every other student would. They often miss out on the opportunities to see other kids their age, and interact like people do in the real world. It can then make it more difficult for the kids to make friends. As they grow up, homeschooled kids often have raised stress and anxiety levels. They aren’t used to working with people their age and it frequently takes a long time for them to get used to.

  • I think homeschooling would be very beneficial to kids who are actively working and do not have time for 8 hours of school a day. And the kids can strictly learn what they need for them for the future and all the attention is on them so if they need help they have it immediately.

  • I think homeschooling is worth it and also not worth it. It is worth it because kids learn more and end up smarter usually, but it's not worth it because you don't get to be social and talk to your friends. I wouldn't want to be homeschooled because I would want to hang out with my friends every day.

  • I think homeschooling can be beneficial in ways, but the best is to attend public school in person. By going to public school it helps kids gain social skills instead of going to homeschool which you don't have any interactions with peers. I like public school because I can visit with my friends.

  • I think homeschooling could be beneficial to certain people, but I think it is best to attend in person school. Being in the real school enviorment it gives and prepares students for the real world by getting communication and socializing skills. I would not like to be homeschooled mainly because I like one on one instruction.

  • I think homeschooling is good because you are in a place you are comfortable with and not able to be bullied or get made fun of. I wouldn't mind being home schooled but I'm fine with going to a public school.

  • I think homeschool is a good and bad thing because going to school help you have more friends and have more fun. I also think that homeschool would be fine for some kids who don't like lot of crowds.

  • I think homeschooling could be beneficial to some people, but it is best to attend a real school. Being in a real school prepares students for the real world by socializing the kids. I would not like to be homeschooled because I feel like I benefit from being around others while learning.

    • I agree, I think it's good for kids to be around others their age while learning to help them.

  • I think homeschooling can be very beneficial to certain types of kids. Kids who focus better at home and who like to learn at their own pace may be more suseptible to homeschooling. However, students who enjoy social interaction, learning in bigger environements, and working with peers, are better suited for public school. I personally would rather be in a public school.

  • I feel like homeschooling depends on the individual's goals in life. It seems that homeschooled people are much "smarter" book smart and common sense, than in-person schooling students, and if you only want to be smart and not have a social and sports life I think homeschooling is for you. I personally would not ever want to be home-schooled, I like seeing my friends throughout the week and I enjoy being able to be involved in many different activities and sports throughout the school.
