If you haven't seen the commercial, here you go(it's on Youtube so it will be blocked at school):

There are people that think it was a bad idea for Kobe to do this as they say it glorifies gun violence which is not something he should be doing as an African-American role model. Gang violence is a huge issue in cities and now you have the biggest basketball star toting an assault weapon making it look cool.

What do you think? Good idea or bad?

  • i think it influnces people to get the game, im not sure if it will spark gang violence. in a way it is kind of racist how they only point out the black guy. there were other celebs there too. and they showed axamples of people in many different lifestyles not just one group of people.
  • People really shouldn't look into things so much, but on the other hand their are many kids that look up to him and their are a million of other things that he could have endorsed that would have put a better message across
  • the man does make a living playing basketball he doesnt need a million dollar endorsement for a commercial put some rookie or Kevin Durant or Dwyane Wade on their.
  • how dare kobe bryant shoot a gun for probably a million dollar endorsement. come on the man has to make a living and its not that big of deal
  • Oh please, it's just a commercial. Doesn't it feature some other celebrities as well? The line that it says at the end of it is 'everyone has a soldier in them' or somethin like that. Let's be rational, it really shouldn't affect decisions of simple-minded gang members
